Hello! I was so happy to have heard from you again! Thank you so much for answering my e-mail so fast! I just got home; I have been at the hospital all day with my youngest, Arjun. Arjun has a respiratory virus that caused him great difficulty in breathing; he first had a runny nose and nasty coughing, but this morning, he started gasping for air; so I had no choice BUT to call for an ambulance. He is now safe in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), where doctors and nurses can keep a close eye on him. He was finally resting comfortably after they put him on a ventilator and are giving him antibiotics to nip the infection in the bud. It does sound serious, but he is stable now, and that is a huge relief. I will call them in the morning before I go to work; hopefully he will have a good, restful night.
BUT on a much brighter note, yes, I AM going on a cruise to Alaska with the family! We are going in October, around Hallowe'en, and we will be gone for two weeks. It is going to be fun, and I know the kids will have a super time! :) We canNOT wait!! :)
I am thoroughly relieved to know that your dear Angus is home from the hospital and is recovering nicely. That is so good to hear! I bet the kids have been enjoying having their daddy home, and I know you probably have, too! Tell him that I am still praying for his recovery!
Oh, yes, the Olympics will be "on the telly" here in earnest. Our family is totally Olympic mad, and they always delight in watching all the exciting action on tv. I just hope that the U.S. made another stellar showing in the medal count! They really did a super job two years ago in Salt Lake City, Utah! :) We will have our Olympic clothes on, and we will be waving American flags and yelling for the Home Team! :) GOOOOOOOOOO, U.S.A.! U.S.A.!! U.S.A.!! U.S.A.!! :)
I am sorry to hear that you are suffering from arthritis. I know her well; I have had arthritis pain in my joints for YEARS, and I used to walk on Lofstran crutches (or a cane) before I had my back surgery last year (this was because the disk had slipped, and it was compressing the nerve, causing severe sciatic pain and weakness/numbness in my legs and hips, not to mention, my back!). Now, thankfully, all that is behind me, and I am now walking WITHOUT Lofstran crutches OR a cane, and I can lift up my kids and give them hugs nad kisses; Lord, I can even DANCE, and I can praise my Lord and Saviour at church whenever the Holy Spirit moves me! :) So my health is good, and it has been nothing short of a Miracle because I have my life back! :) I do hope that you find relief from your pain. Arthritis is not a laughing matter, and it can casue utter misery for those who suffer from it. You will most certainly be in my prayers, dear Rosie! :)
The weather here is cloudy; we had snow earlier, and we now have four inches on the ground. The kids have already been outside, where they have made several snowmen (and snow animals!), which now adorn our yard, and they had a ball running around and throwing snowballs at each other! Even daddy joined in their winter games, and they got plenty of healthy exercise to boot! :) When I came home, they begged me to join their fun, but I was too tired; if the snow is still on the ground tomorrow, I will spend some quality Mommy time with them before going to see Arjun in the hospital.
I will keep you posted on little Arjun's progress, but right now he is a very sick little boy. Say a special prayer for him when you get up in the morning (I know it is early morning there in England). It will be very much appreciated.
