Dear Journal~
I know just wrote earlier, but here I go again, folks! LOL
Don't have to go to school tomrrow (in-sercice day!), so maman is letting me stay up to watch the Grammy Awards. I am enjoying the music (for the most part)...at least the people nominated can SING! LOL (Unless they rap; rappin' isn't really singing! LOL).
I was very happy to hear that Kelly Clarkson won in both the categories that she was nominated in (Best Female Pop Vocal Perfoermer and Best Pop Vocal Album). One of maman's sisters lives in Burlsson, Texas, and shse called us to tell us the news...seems like she and the whole city of Burleson, Tx., were gathered at Burleson Pizza Company for a "Grammy Watch Party". TV cameras were there, and maman's sister said they interviewed her for a shot on the local news there. So there is a new tv star in the family! LOL (Kelly Clarkson is from Burleson, Texas. So as you can imagine that the people there were VERY happy when Kelly nabbed not one, but TWO Grammys! :) ) I have met Kelly Clarkson in person before (saw her in concert, too!), and she was very personable and friendly, and she put on a terrific show!
I have also met Fantasia Barrino, Justin Guarini, Diana DeGarmo, and Ruben Studdard (past American Idols and runner ups [Justin and Diana]), and all were as nice as Kelly Clarkson. I saw the American Idol Road Show here in Nashville last year, and they were all terrific! The only one I probably HAVEN'T seen is the current American Idol champion, Carrie Underwood. She was the first country singer to win the title of American Idol, and she is from Oklahoma. She reminds me a lot of Faith Hill, but she still has her own style. She is really good, and she has a real powwow delivery in her style of singing. She is going to be a big star in country muisc one day.
I saw my baby brother tonight at the hospital. I am happy to say that he is getting better. He is off the ventilator and is breahing much better. They still have him on oxygen, but he IS getting stronger. He will probably be in the hospital for a couple more days, but that is to be expected. The doctors want to keep a close eye on him, to make sure he doesn't have a relapse. I pray he doesn't. I have been praying extra hard for little Arun; he is so loveable! When he gets sick, I worry my head off because he is just a baby, and when babies get sick, there is NO room for messing around! No siree, Bob!!
Well, guys, I am going to get back to the Grammys. (Watching them, NOT attending them! LOL Though I would NOT mind it at all! *grins*) I will let you go for now; will write in here another day. Good night, sweet prince; see ya down the road! Aaaiiieee!

Lucky girl, no school and gets to watch grammy awards! Glad to hear that sweet little Arjun is doing better, you had us worried there :)
