Dear Louisiana~
Thank you for your honest, eye-opening letter. I am glad you wrote back to me. I didn't expect that you would, but I AM glad you decided to.
You are right. At least I believe in God. How can I NOT, seeing all the natural beauty that surrounds me? Man could have never done that; God HAD to be the Entity that did! I will try to watch what I say, seeing that you are a woman of faith, but I just don't like pepole who are extreme about their faith, like those televangelists they show on the religious channels. They turn me off; they are always asking for money when they are flaunting their baubles and stuff; that, to me, is os very wrong!
You sound like you have a very nice family (although BIG); WHY on earth did you adopt FIFTY-THREE children?). I just can't IMAGINE the expense you must face; it must be absolutely HORRENDOUS!! YIKES!
Have you been watching any of the Olympics on the t.v.? Today is the first day of competition. I hope we get some medals; we need some cheer in today's cruel, uncertain world! I have heard that Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, is back in surgery (for an "intestinal problem", they are saying), and that his life is "in danger". I wonder what they are going to do or what is going to happen lest Ariel were to pass on. It boggles the mind, doesn't it??
The boys are all fine. Peter, Miles, and Danny have their eyes glued to the Olympic action on the telly, and Nigel, the baby, is still sleeping. He was up last night with a bout of croup; he is breathing much easier now. It is cold here; I took the baby outside to ease his breathing, and the cold air eased his breathing difficulties. I was so relieved; I was afraid that I was going to have to take him to the Emergency Room! He has had croup for the past week, and night time is always anxious for me. I don't like the sound of hearing his gasping breathing, and it sounds like he is dying! He also has asthma, and he has had to go to the E.R. for his breathing, whree they have had to give him some medication and/or oxygen.
I am going to go now; Doug is calling me. I will have to see what he wants. I will write again soon; I hope to hear from you again. You seem like a very intersting person to get to know! Blessings to you and your family!
~Most sincerely, your friend (?) in Kansas, Jerilyn (Jeri) Lotz. :)
