I enjoyed your letter, written on the day of the Super Bowl; it was highly entertaining, and your letter had me smiling! Thanks for writing, but I was hoping we'd continue our game of email tag. Guess I lost because I didn't respnd. OOPSIE! LOL Oh, well--it was fun while it lasted! :)
I guess you know the outcome of the Super Bowl. Your beloved Seahawks got beaten by the Pittsburgh Steelers. I guess that was to be expected: the Steelers have a reputable defense as WELL as offense, and they deserved to win. I am sorry if I am talking like the Steelers like this, but I was pulling for them, only because they were the better team. Since MY Falcons got beaten in the playoffs, I HAD to root for SOMEBODY; the Pittsburgh Steelers seemed like the wiser choice! LOL
HEYYYYYYYYYYY!! YOU don't like the FALCONS?? What is the MATTER with you?? Oh, well, you have the right to like any team you choose, but I happen to LOVE the Atlanta Falcons! After all, I AM from Georgia! LOL
What do you think of the Olympics thus far? Yesterday, the U.S.A. team sucked, to put it mildly. They did not live up to the hype. But that redhaired guy who got the gold medal in the men's halfpipe was sure something, wasn't he? If I ever tried some of the tricks he was doing on that board, I'd KILL my damn self! LOL Talk about taking crazy chances!! YIKES! LOL Have you ever wanted to go to an Olympics? Do you know anyone who HAS gone to an Olympics? If so, you are very fortunate; I would LOVE to get a hold of some of those souvenirs! LOL Hopefully today will be a much better day for Team U.S.A.!
You were saying in your letter that Nashville was expecting some snow. DId you get any? IF so, how much snow did you get? I bet you didn't get as much as they did on the East Coast. Twenty seven inches of snow in NYC. WOW! I sure hope that Emily Hughes, Sarah Hughes' younger sister, gets out of NYC in one piece!
That is another thing that has me bummed out. If Michelle Kwan knew htat she wasn't at her best, WHY did she go to the Olympics in the FIRST place?? Boy, talk about stupid! I know she wanted to try for a gold medal, but if I were in her predicament, my health would come first before a medai, even if it WAS the gold! I just hope that Emily Hughes, Kimmy Meissner, Sasha Cohen, or any of the other women do well; they have quite a competition against the Russians! It is going to be a very interesting time in the women's figure skating events! We will just have to wait to see what happens---
Well, I will let you go now. Dixon and Sugar are fighting, and I will have to tend to them before there is any bloodshed. Guess they are fully over their recent bug, hunh?? LOL

Bummer about Michelle Kwan. It has escaped her twice now. There's a reason for it, though. She will earn the Gold when the time is right. These Olympic stars start out at an early age. But they are usually burnt out early too. It is hard work going for the Dream. Keeping one in physical and mental shape is the name of the game. Athletes and writers live along the same lines. We have to eat, sleep, drink, and breath our profession. It doesn't work any other way and sacrifices have to be made. Only the strong survive. Thanks for the letter today, Karen Lynn.
Super Bowl is a bit of an unknown quantity to a Brit like me, but give me a rugby ball and I'll show you a scrum! :)) On the other hand, that lovely visual of Georgia Peach makes me feel all feminine - as does your lovely chatty letter here.
