Dear Journal~

Hi! This is your Cajun friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, writing! I hope this finds y'all doing well!

I am doing better than when I wrote last time in here. Last time I wrote, I was in a lot of pain (due to the weather we were having at the time; we were having a winter storm replete with thunder and lightning, which is a rare occurance), but today I am feelin' fit as a fiddle! *grins*

I am doing better than daddy, that is for DARN sure: daddy fell several days ago, and he has been acting like the Tin Man on a bad day: STIFF. Maman took him to see his doctor, Dr. Harlowe; Dr. Harlowe wanted to admit daddy to the hospital, but daddy said N-O. So Dr. Harlowe gave him some strong pain medication, and he gave him some time off from work, so he could recuperate.

Well, I found out in advance who won the ladies' figure skating program at the Winter Olympics being held in Torino, Italy. Sadly, it wasn't Sasha Cohen. She ended up with a silver medal. The favorite, Irina Slutskaya from Russia, did worse: she got a bronze. The winner of the gold medal was a skater from Japan named Shizuka Arakawa, thus dashing Russia's hope for domination in the skating competitions: they got gold medals in the male, pairs, and ice dancing competitions. I was very happy that Sasha got silver; but I was hoping that she'd get gold. Oh, well...it could have been a lot worse! :)

My twin sisters Camey and Tammi have started their new jobs, and so far, they seem to like it. They are both working at Fire Mountain, which is a great buffet restaurant. Tammi is going to be a server, and Camey is going to roll silverware. I hope they do well at their new jobs at Fire Mountain! :)

I am working on my second book: I am writing a book about kids who have brothers and sisters who are disabled, and the feelings that they often share. The working title is "Coping: Living Life With A Brother Or Sister With Disabilities". I still have a while to go before I can get the manuscript ready to be mailed. I hope the publishers approve it; that'd be SUPER! :)

Well, not much else is new. I will be going now; have to eat supper. I am getting hungry, and we are having polish sausage (keilbasa) with sauerkraut. YUMM!! One of my favorite dishes to be SURE!! :) I can smell it cooking, and my tummy is sure doin' an awful lot of talking! LOL
