Thank you for your most delightful letter of the other day; it was good to hear from you again!
I am glad that your pregnancy is progressing well. That is good to hear! I pray that this continues! It sounds like Nikky is the proud papa; good for him! :) Tell him congratulations on his promotion! That is great! :)
I am sitting here at work; it is slower than slow. I have only two patients I am taking care of, both in the ICU: a lady from Tromso, Norway with necrotizing fasciitis (she is recovering slowly), and a man who is in multiple-organ failure. The lady is faring much better than the man; we don't think the man will be around much longer. He is doing poorly. If he lives past today, I will be most surprised!
While it is quiet, I thought I would email someone. You happened to be the one who was on top of my list, so there you go. I am writing back to you! :) (I know you don't mind my doing that---*grins*)
The kids are in school; and Arjun is being watched over by my parents. My daughter, Ronee', will be at school later; she had a doctor's appointment today; in fact, Bill is probably telling her to get ready, so they don't be late for her appointment. They will probably have a light breakfast before heading out. (Nothing to worry about for Ronee': it's just a routine checkup, nothing major. She sees her pediatrician every three months, to make sure all is going well for her, which it has been as of late.)
Johnny has his doctor's appointment tomorrow. He sees his muscular dystrophy doctor at the MDA clinic. He sees him every month; like Ronee', his health has been holding out too, but with muscular dystrophy you don't know when the end will come, and when he will be getting worse. While he has already outlived doctors' predictions by an incredible eight years,
I am still scared to death of losing him, and I don't know what I would do if he were to get worse! That is probably the hardest thing about this whole muscular dystrophy business! :(
Bill is doing fair. He is still in a lot of pain, but he has been pacing himself. He IS enjoying his time off from his job, but he misses it at the same time. He really enjoys interacting with the customers as they come to and leave the store; and his co-workers just love him! They see him as an inspiration, and they see that he enjoys what he does.
In fact, Bill's bosses have recently given him another raise, and they are proud with his overall performance.
Sari, you didn't have to get us souvenirs from the Torino Olympics! That was very sweet of you to think so, but you need your money! You are with child; save it for the baby! Or for yourselves! Don't go blowing it on baubles and trivial stuff for US! LOL (We WILL be looking for your package in the meantime! I will most certainly let you know when it DOES arrive! :) )
Well, the code alarm is going off; have to tend to the emergency. I wonder if it is that guy who is in multiple organ failure; I wouldn't be surprised---Take care, Sari, and God bless you and Nikky (and your new baby-to-be!) always! Love you guys! Nakemiin for now!
(((HUGS))) As always, your friend, Louie Mayrah in America. :)
Thanks for YOUR letter today from Louisiana! Louie has a full plate--all those kids, her hubby, her job, church...whew. Superwoman, she is!! And so are you, with all of these writes. :) Well done!
