It was so nice to receive your inspiring, uplifting e-mail the other day; thanks for responding so fast!
Thanks, too, for telling me more about your family, but I refuse to believe, even for a MINUTE, that you are a GRANDMOTHER! You look too darned YOUNG to be a GRANMA! SIX grandkids?? WOW! And your oldest daughter is expecting yet again, with Number SIX? That is aMAZing!
I am so sorry that you lost all your birth children! I can't imagine outliving your child, let alone, THREE of them! That has GOT to be the WORST thing a parent could ever face! How awful! But I AM glad that God has brought you children who were once without hope, and I am glad that they are flourishing under such a loving and stable environment! :) I would love to see a recent picture of The Family; I will be sending you one in the mail shortly, so be on the lookout for it! :)
Louie, you are truly a Miracle Worker, an Angel in the sincerest sense. You care in more ways than one, and the world surely could benefit from more people like you! That is one of the reasons we turned to international adoption, in the hopes of making a difference in one needy child's life; and we have enjoyed our (adopted) children emmensely. I don't know why we didn't turn to adoption sooner, but so far, the journey has been fun! :)
I bet you could become a motivational speaker and share your incredibly inspiring story at churches, civic functions, or dinners; I bet there is a whole world of people who would love to hear you speak! You are such a good writer; you ought to consider branching out and become a motivational speaker! You'd be good at it! :) (Just a suggestion is all---)
How is the weather there in Nashville? Here in Bellingham it is raining (AGAIN; seems we get an awful lot of that "Liquid Sunshine" around these parts); hope it is much nicer there!
I have seen pictures of Nashville in books or on advertisments on televsion, and I think it is pretty. I wouldn't mind taking the family on a trek there; we are country music afficianados, and we love the legends of the past as well as the superstars of today: doesn't matter if it is Loretta Lynn or Shania Twain, or Conway Twitty or Keith Urban--we love 'em ALL! God, I would give ANYTHING to go to the Grand Ole Opry at least ONCE! (Have YOU ever been to the Grand Ole Opry? I bet you have, PLENTY of times! :) )
That must be terrifying when one of your kids gets sick enough to need the services of paramedics or an ambulance! How do you cope with something like that? I don't think I could; it was bad enough with Ellen's illness! Every time she would have to go to the hospital, I'd be a basketcase, and when she went downhill (and eventually died), I thought I would go mad with grief! It was altogether HORRIFIC, and I DON'T want to go through something like that EVER again! But I AM glad that you know what to do in the event of an emergency; the kids are so blessed to have a mommy who happens to be a NURSE! :)
