Dear Rebekkah Rachel~
I am glad you are home from the hospital, but I am sorry you are having a hard time with kids staring. Believe me, I know all about that, and it isn't fun! Kids just don't understand what I am going through, and that what I have doesn't go away; it only gets worse in time, and that is probably the hardest thing in dealing with my disease.
Thank you for your letter; it was good to hear from you today. I had a bad day at school. I had an accident in my pants when I neglected to check my catheter bag; I got it all over my pants and all over my wheelchair. It was disgusting, and kids were laughing at me, calling me a baby. Needless to say, I am not in a very good mood right now.
Ronee' is over her flare, thank goodness, but now she is busy trying to decide what song she is going to sing at the Easter Cantata at our church. She would like to tell you that she is sending you a get well card in the mail, and that she is praying for you (as I am). I know it isn't easy dealing with something like getting your leg taken off, but maybe it was for the best. After all, you did have a bad infection that wasn't getting any better, and now once you recover, you can resume your life as it was before this happened. Hope springs eternal, as they say!
I liked that picture. Was that you? If so, that was one cool prosthetic leg you are wearing! I never saw a prosthetic leg in colors other than brown, tan, or white, or those weird, futuristic looking jobs! So they come ni other colors, too, eh? Cool! I am glad you are trying to live life as normally as you can. I am trying, but every day, it just gets harder and harder, and I only end up feeling more miserable than before. Every day there's new problems for me to deal with, and it is very upsetting!
I do hope you can come to Tennessee. It would be great to see you! I just wish I could do more than I am able to; I don't want people waiting on me hand and foot, but I am afraid I have no other alternative! Such as it is when one deals with a disease like mine---
Rebekkah, that would be great if you can dance again once you get off the crutches. That would be a dream come true for you, wouldn't it? I bet you are a terrific dancer, although I do find ballet boring (sorry, but I just am not into ballet or clasical music)! You still got to dance in "Swan Lake", so you have realized your dream. Maybe you can do it again! That would be great! :)
Well, I am getting sleepy all of a sudden, so I am going to lie down for a while. Take caer, Rebekkah, and God bless you always!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your Tennessee boyfriend, Johnny. :)
this is sweet and again I like how real this is. this is the real world and real life and emotions you write about. I like how you keep it simple and like how this relates to all. write on!
