Dear Bitta~
Thanks for your letter of the other day, 'twas very good to hear from you again!
That picture of "Roquefort" was absolutely adorable! He IS a lump, as you said; we have a Maine Coon cat, too, but she is my daughter' Ronee' 's cat. Her name is "Cajun", and she is going on three years old. She is still fairly young; she still has a lot of maturing to go through. She has the personality of a kitten, and she is very loveable and sweet. She is closest to her young mistress of course, but she loves all of us, even our dogs (though, if the dogs get on her nerves, she will raise a paw to their nose and give them a painful smack!).
I will be putting a picture of "Cajun" on this letter; enjoy! (She isn't nearly as large as your "Roquefort"!)
Snow? In spring?? You are right, Bitta: it IS crazy weather! We are supposed to get colder again by tomorrow, so I guess the winter wear isn't over just yet. *Sighhhh* I don't know if we will get snow or not, but still, I am ready for the weather to warm up! I need to get the kids outside; they can drive me crazy at times! (I know, I know--that's what I get for adopting fifty-three children! LOL)
My daughter, Lightning, is having a little girl. This sill be her sixth child, but this will only be her second daughter. She already has four little boys, and all of the kids keep her hoppin'. Add to the fact that she is in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy. Still, she is a very good mama, and her husband is more than supportive of her whenever she gets into a jam!
Yes, I am a grandma, six times over! Now I am staring at the possibility of yet another grandchild! I love being a grandma; I love the fact that when the kids are over, they can always go back home when it is time for them to leave, and the kids love it because they can play with their cousins from Colorado (and therefore, cause more mischief and mayhem! LOL). I still do love my grandkids, and they keep me young! :)
My son, Johnny, is over his tests. He had to have tests done at the MDA clinic, to see how his Duchenne's is progressing. For the past several years his disease has seemed to remain at a standstill, but lately he had been having more in the way of problems with weakness, trouble swallowing, more problems with his breathing, etc., and the test results confirmed that he IS getting weaker. Very upsetting, but who knows? A cure may be found soon; they are on the brink of finding the gene that causes MDA and the other 42 neuromuscular disorders, then they can work towards developing a cure. Hope springs eternal, as they say!
No, we didn't have any of the severe weather that threatened, but the skies did look mighty ugly. We were under tornado warches, and once the sirens sounded when a funnel cloud was sighted; thank GOD the funnel didn't snake down to the ground; otherwise, it would have been a tornado, and we would have been worried! I have seen firsthand what a tornado can do, and tornadoes are nothing to mess around with! Whenever a tornado threatens, we are more than ready, and we know what to do if one threatens! (Thank GOD we have shelter to go to!!)
Your comment about "Roquefort" biting your leg when he didn't get fed made me laugh. Cats are very good at making their owners know what they want. "Cajun" doesn't go to that extreme; she just meows nonstop, and her meows only get louder if she doesn't get her food when she wants. She also pats your leg with her paw and stands up on her hind legs and just looks so adorable you can't help BUT to bend to her will!

The clocks go forward an hour in Britain tonight, its the official start of Springtime....we lose an hour's sleep...mwah
