Dear Louie in America~
How positively lovely to hear from you again; your letter was brimming with news and hope!
Congratulations on the cruise to Mexico! I have been on one cruise before to Mexico, and Angus and myself hd such a lovely visit! We laid around on the beach, and my poor dear got so dreadfully burned by the sun; he looked like a lobster! I felt so bad for him! I am also glad that you are going to Alaska later in the year; you must be loaded with money to be able to go on all these holidays! (Can I sneak along with you?? *grins*)
I am sorry to learn of your son's struggles with muscular dystrophy. How positively sad! I had a cousin who's son had that, and he suffered so much! It was such a pity, really; he didn't live to be 10. He was a dear little child, and we all loved him; his death hit us all hard, and it still makes me cry to think of him...I pray for a miracle for your son; he seems like a dear young person!
I was sorry, too, to learn of Ronee' 's latest health troubles, but it sounds like she is having a far easier time of it than Johnny. She seems to be a very lovely young lady, and I am sure that she is going to have the boys going after her before too long (you'd best lock the doors! LOL). Hopefully now she is doing much better!
I am glad that your baby boy Arjun is recovered from his illness, and that Bill has gotten over the effects of his spill. Too much troubles in your family lately; I hope things settle down soon...
Here, things are going quite well, actually. Angus is back at the chemist's, and the doc has given him the all-clear for him to return to working. The children are all well too, but Alastaire had a bit of the stomach virus last week; he had diarrhoea and was nauseaous, but he is over that now. Peter, Brighton, and Millie all escaped the virus, thank the Lord; but they all have colds, and they are now home, in their beds, where I have been taking care of them, feeding them chicken soup, having them blow their noses, and having them take their medicines.
How is the weather there? Here it is sunny, but with the kids being sick, I can't get out to enjoy it. I do ever want to go outside and piddle around in my garden; my garden is starting to come alive with flowers, and it is a most pretty sight, indeed! I hope the weather there isn't too dreadful!
Tell your daughters congratulations on their new jobs! That is wonderful! Maybe I ought to check out Fire Mountain or Golden Corral when I come to the States...If there is one thing I love to do, it is EAT. You will know that immediately when you see me; I am quite large! :)
I am also happy to learn that your oldest daughter is pregnant with a little girl! How simply marvelous! I am so happy for you and Bill! Seems that there are a lot of babies to be born in your world; I hope and pray that all the mummies have uncomplicated births and that their dear little ones are bursting with health! :)
Well, dearie, Peter is coughing his head off. It sounds bad. I will check on him to make sure all is well. Take care, dear friend, and God bless you always! Hope to hear from you again. Until later, pip, pip, cheerio! Ta ta for now!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend from across the sea, Rosie. :)
