Dear Bitta~
Thanks for your letter; it was so good to hear from you again! I had to laugh about the forgotten Easter eggs; that sounds like something I would do! LOL Hope you don't end up with any stinky eggs; that is so gross! LOL Hope you have a good Easter; we are looking forward to ours because of the company arriving from California and our Cantata.
How is the weather up there? Here it supposed to be sunny and cool. We had some major storms roll through Sunday night, and because of the storms we didn't go to church. We figured we didn't want to chance it. There were storms to the west and north, and the tornado sirens were screaming off and on all night long. No damage to our place, thank goodness, but we did briefly lose power before the generators kicked in.
I am at work, but I was a half hour late. There was a big wreck that snagged the traffic flow, and I got caught in the middle of it. I expect the victims to come here or go to Vandy (Vanderbilt); but right now it is slow. Therefore, I am sitting in my office, writing to you and listening to one of my Cajun music CD's (Belton Richard) to wake me up. I also have a cuppa Cajun-style coffee I am working on, and it is a very nice start to my workday. What are you doing today?
The children are well, but Ronee' is sick: she has a sinus infection. She will go to the doctor's today; her older sister Barbara will take her. (Barbara is off work today. She works at Golden Corral. She has worked there a few weeks, and she loves it.) Johnny is trying to get a sore throat, but other than that, he is fine. I pray it doesn't develop into something more serious; with Johnny's health, you can't be too careful. It is like walking on eggshells.
My father, Armand, was sick too over the weekend: he had a cold, but he is getting over it. He is hacking like sixty though, and he really sounds terrible. At least his nose is no longer stuffed up or running, and at least the stuffiness is gone from his head, but the cold has settled into his chest, and he is rattling the rafters with his coughing.
No, the picture I used was one I found on the Internet. The kids are not mine; but you are so right: the boy and the grinning girl do resemble Johnny and Jodie. I have used that picture several times on past letters. Now you know.
Well, the emergency room tones are sounding, and I am being paged, so I had better go now. Take care, Bitta, and do write soon; I love to hear from you! God bless you always!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Nashville, Tenn., Louie May. :D
Let me know what you think of my first book; I am all ears! LOL
~Louie.
