Louisiana is thrilled to learn that her friend in South Dakota will be getting another boy, this time a boy from India.

Congratulations on the news that you will be getting yet another son from India! Little Chital is absolutely precious! I am so happy for you guys!
I am happy to say that we didn't get any damage from the storms that traversed our area. We did lose our power, but only briefly, as the generators soon kicked on, and the power came back within a minute. We did have some twigs and small branches in our yard (as well as some shingles), but nothing else on (or in) our house sustained any damage, thank the Lord! :)
I feel bad for those people who lost loved ones during the recent tornado outbreak of last Sunday. Yes, the counties affected were just west of us; but they quickly rolled on through, and they were starting to weaken by the time they came to Nashville. I think God had His Hand on us; I really do! It could have very easily been so much worse: we could have been one of those families who lost loved ones or friends in the storms!
Thank you for wriing, and thank you for the prayers. We did make it through the storms, and our house is safe and sound. The weather has calmed down since then, but we may get another round come Saturday. I pray and hope not! Mayve I DO need to move to Alaska; but there is but one small problem: my South Louisiana blood can't take it! LOL
I am going to go now; have to get the kids ready for bed. They have to be in bed by nine on school nights. Well, one won't have to go as she is getting over a sinus infection, but the others do. I also have to hook Johnny up to his breathing machine and make sure he has taken his nightly regimen of medications. I will have to turn him over in a few hours anyway, so my sleep will come in spurts. (Johnny has Duchenne's muscular dystrophy; he can't turn over by himself; either I or one of his brothers or sisters has to do it for him so he doesn't get bedsores.)

I see I'm not the only one who is amazed by your cast of characters. It is astronommical for a writer to have that many to keep track of on a daily basis. But then you are a rarity Karen,gifted in love for children and families to care for them. Bless your compassionate heart!
