Rebekkah Rachel Cohen, aged 12 1/2, on vacation in Tennessee, writes back to her father back home in California after he sent her a letter on the computer.
Thank you os much for your letter; I got it today on Ronee' s computer. She let me use her computer, and so I am writing to you before she goes to bed for the night.
I am having a wonderful time! So far we have seen the gospel group the McGruders from Missouri in concert, I went to the Easter Cantata at Johnny and Ronee' 's church (that was awesome!), we ate Easter lunch at Fire Mountain after church had ended (hey, was that ever good! Yummy!), and we went to the Grand Ole Opry last night.
The Grand Ole Opry was really cool, Daddy. We saw people like Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Loretta Lynn (I about wet myself when I found out that she was going to be there! She was great!!), Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss, Jimmy Dickens, and many more. We even saw Keith Urban there; he got a lot of applause (as did Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, and Alan Jackson). I took lots of pictures with my camera, and I even got to go backstage, where I met some of the singers! I was so excited all I could do was burst into tears! I was soooo nervous!!
I don't know what else Ms. Sandusky has planned for my aunt and myself, but I am having fun! I think Nashville is so pretty, and the weather here is a lot nicer than it has been back home. I do hope that the rain stops soon; I know you and mamma are sick of it! I know I am! I hate not being able to go outside!!
Johnny is having fun, and he and I have hit if off. I am so glad that we became boyfriend/girlfriend! He is so funny (although a little shy). (I guess it is up to me to bring him out of his shell! LOL) I hope that he lives many more years, and I hope that a cure is found for his muscular dystrophy! That is a horrid disease!
I am still walking on my crutches. Every day it gets easier and easier, but I sometimes wish I didn't have to get sick and lose my leg like this. I don't know much about when I was so sick, but it must have been bad. I am glad that is all behind me.
I jsut hope that I can return to dancing. I miss it very much. I also miss playing soccer and running like the wind. Hopefully once I get used to my new leg (and get off these crutches), I can get back to my old self. That would be so wonderful! :)
How was your Easter? I bet you and mamma were wishing I were there! I was missing you, but Ms. Sandusky and my aunt made sure that I didn't get homesick. I guess this is why they were planning all these fun excursions for me to do, so I could keep my mind off of California. I have enjoyed my last several days here, and the kids (not to mention, their animals) are starting to get used to me. I did make an enemy out of Ronee' 's cat, "Cajun", though: I accidentally stepped on her tail with my crutch, and now whenever she sees me she hisses and runs away. I didn't mean to do it; it was only an accident! :(
I did make an instant friend in Johnny's helping dog, "Ginger", a beautiful Golden Retriever. She is always kissing me on the mouth, sniffing me in the ears (that ticklse! LOL It makse me smile still whenever I think of it! LOL), and she is such a love! She knows that I am Johnny's friend, so I guess any friend to Johnny is a friend of hers! She is so pretty! I just love her! :)
Well, I am going to go to bed here; it is nearly nine now, and tomorrow we are going shopping, maybe even take in a movie. We may go and see "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown". I have been wanting to see that movie ever since I first heard about it; I loved the original "Ice Age"! That Scrat fellow is so funny; he makes the movie, as far as I am concerned! :)
Take care, Daddy, and know I love you bunches! I will write again in a fwe days, to let you know how I and Aunt Louisa are doing. Give Mamma a hug from me, and tell her that I will write her too! I miss you both so much! I wish you could have come with us to Tennessee!
Yeshua bless!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your daughter, Rebekkah Rachel. :)
