I am so relieved that Jenna is okay, but I was sorry to learn that her baby was born early. I pray he makes it; being born just over a pound in weight doesn't sound very good...I will have to pray to the spirits for strength and courage for little Mattaq and his family! I am happy though that the baby was here, but I didn't expect him to be born THIS early!
Kirk and I are doing well. We finally heard from the adoption agency, and the adoption has been approved! We will be getting a little boy from Russia within the next six months to a year; I won't have to look at that empty crib too much longer! The boy in question is aged one, and he may have some "developmental" delays. His name is Yuri, and he is beautiful! :)
As you can imagine, both Kirk and myself are excited beyond relief! This is a dream come true !! :)
I am glad that your health woes are history; however, that doesn't do me any good. Oh, well. I shouldn't be complaining about what I cannot do; I should focus on what I can do intead of whining about it. There are many people who have it so much worse than me. Sometimes I forget that when I am having problems; it is easy to do.
I heard that Nashville had some awful weather yesterday (on the Weather Channel they showed firemen putting out a fire that had been started by a lightning strike), and the weather guys were saying that you may have more severe weather today. I pray and hope not; may the spirits protect you today!
Here it is cold, starry, and beautiful, with only the stars and northern lights providing a spectacular light show. Snow still lies on the ground, and it is very invigorating.
I am glad you are having fun with your company from California. It sounds like they are keeping you very busy. You are lucky to have many friends! I only have my computer--and my husband, of course-- and my neighbors. I guess since I got diagnosed with my MS I have become something of a recluse because I am embarrassed at the betrayal of my body. I don't like anyone to see me when I am having problems with my walking or when I am in my wheelchair! I guess that is only natural.
