Dear Louisiana And Family~
How wonderful it was to have met y'all; you are a testiment to the triumph of the human spirit, and the world certainly can use more angels like you!
Your children are absolutely precious! I don't know how they could have gotten along without you and Bill! They are very well-mannered, and they are among the best behaved children I have seen anywhere! It is good to know that you have control of them; so many parents today let their children run amuck, and it is refreshing to know that you care about their actions! Good on you!
Now I can put a face behind the person to whom I am writing. It is a huge relief on my mind. So many times you don't know who is on the other side of the computer, and too many times you hear of bad people "out there". You are a very happy person, and it is clear that you love the Lord. I saw it in your face, and I heard it in your words. God has certainly blessed you with an affinity for children with special needs, and you can touch others with your caring, compassionate spirit!
I hope and pray that you continue to have a safe-filled journey on your sojourn to Louisiana. I hope you have a wonderful time at that Crawfish Festival! I wouldn't mind going myself, but the fact of the matter is this: I am allergic to seafood. Everytime I have it I break out in horrible hives, and I swell up like a balloon. POOF! LOL NOT a pretty picture, if you know what I mean! LOL So I just stay away from the seafood, no matter HOW good it may look--or smell! LOL
You were telling me that your son Johnny and daughter Ronee' are performing at the festival. That is super! I would love to hear them sing one day; I bet they both sing like angels! Do any of your other children perform?
You were also telling me about your Ministry and your adoption community. Does it cost anything to join, and what does one have to do to become a member? I am interested; I would like to hear from other parents who have adopted children with special needs--share my story with them, in other words. That way, I wouldn't feel like I am beating my head against thw wall when I am stressing out or having a bad day. I owuld like to know that there are others who are experiencing the same thing.
Well, Louie, I am going to to bed now; storms on the move here, and according to the NOAA weather radio, they are nasty things. I hope we get through them without any damage; keep me in your prayers! I hate thunderstorms, especially late at night; I hate being awakened by lightning and/or thunder!
