An excited Louisiana Sandusky writes to Betty Ciagalore in Florida, to tell her the good news. The adoption of a little Russian boy with cerebral palsy has been approved; the Sanduskys will soon have a mind-boggling fifty-four children.

Dear Betty Jo~
Thank you very mcuh for your letter; 'twas good to hear from you! I hope this finds you well! I am doing GREAT!
We will soon be adding another Miracle to our family: a little boy, aged seven, from Russia, who was born with cerebral palsy. His name is Vlademir Aleksander, and he is so beautiful! We have his picture, and he has such a winning smile on his face! He has blue eyes and red hair, and--he is going to be ours. OURS. We will now have fifty-four children!! What an unforgettable early Mother's Day gift! God has been very good to our rapidly-growing, burgeoning family!!
We got back from Louisiana safe and sound. We went to a Cajun festival in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, which is where I was born. It was the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, and it is one of the top-rated festivals in the country. We got back very early Tuesday morning, and we are still trying to recover from our trip. We had a wonderful time in Louisiana; we heard a lot of wonderful Cajun music and ate a lot of scrumptious Cajun food. We really enjoyed ourselves! Now we have the CMA Music Festival to look forward to, and we have found out that our young friend in California, Rebekkah Cohen, is coming back! This is going to be an exciting few months ahead of us!
In addition to this, Bill and I are going to Mexico. We are going on a five-day Mexican cruise; we are going on the Carnival Cruise Lines, and the cruise was a gift to me from my bosses at work. That was nice of them, wasn't it? *grins* We are going to Mexico to celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary. We will be getting away from the kids for five days; that is going to be pure HEAVEN!! We are looking forward to it!
Chere', I am sorry you are not working. You can BET I will be praying for you! I hope something comes up soon, for your sake--and your sanity!! I will put you on the church prayer chain, and we will then pray for you! Is that okay?
The weather in Florida sounds nice. We may have a bumpy ride later. Severe storms expected, maybe even the possibility of tornadoes. Lord, I hope not; we have had enough of tornadoes/severe weather this spring to last us the rest of our lives!
No damage here, thank goodness (other than some small trees and some shingles being peeled from our roof), but other people were not so fortunate. Some people lost loved ones, and many lost their homes to the tornadoes that struck west of here around Easter time and one time before that. Now the Tennessee Valley may be under the gun yet again; pray we don't get smacked by any tornadoes!!
Well, Betty, I just wanted to tell you about Vlademir joining our family. I will write again soon. Take care, and give your boys (((HUGS))) and kisses from me! All the best to you on your job search; you will be covered in prayer! God bless you mightily, and know that if you ever need to write (or talk), you know where to reach me. Love you!
