Louisiana writes to her friend in Colorado, Kate Grimswold, to let her know that the little Russian boy she was planning to adopt is going to become her son in several months.

Dear Kate Grimswold~
You told me to let you know if the adoption of the little boy from Russia was approved or not, so I am. I am happy to report that the adoption WAS approved; that means that little Vlademir Aleksander will be joining our family in a few months; we will now have *fifty-four* children!! :)
I found out about it the other day--my adoption counselor called, and she was the one who delivered the good news--, and ever since then, I have been walking on cloud nine, and it is all I can do to keep from crying! I don't know why I keep on getting blessed like this, but I pray it doesn't stop! I love what God has been doing in my life and in the lives of my husband and children! :)
The weather here is raining, but it is supposed to be nice for the weekend. On Sunday it is Mother's Day, and after church, I will be treated to a special Mother's Day brunch at Fire Mountain by my family. I know the people at Fire Mountain aren't going to like being inundated by a party of over 50 people, but hey--we have to eat somewhere, and besides, all the restaurants will be packed to the gills with Mother's Day celebrants! So Fire Mountain isn't the only restaurant who is going to get killed!
I don't know what else is being planned for me, but I can count on one thing sure and certain: I am going to be treated like a queen, and I am going to be spoiled by my husband and children. They will not let me lift a finger; they will be doing everything in their power to ensure that I have a very happy (not to mention, memorable) Mother's Day! :)
We had a wonderful time in Louisiana. We got back a few days ago, and I have already returned to work. Just got off work about an hour ago, and now I am home, trying to write and whip some supper into shape before the gang comes back inside from playing. My husband has done the laundry, and now he is taking a nap; his back is sore--that is nothing new with him; he has chronic back pain. He told me to wake him up about six or so. He is really tired.
We did go to a crawfish festival. We went to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, which is near Lafayette. We had a super time, and we ate a lot of Cajun food and heard a lot of wonderful Cajun music. Now the next order of business is the CMA Music Festival here in Nashville; we go to that every year. Then it is Bill's and my five-day Mexican cruise on Carnival, the Fun Ship, and that is going to be sheer Heaven! We are looking forward to getting away from the kids, even if it is for only five days! :)
Kate, thank you for the comments regarding my book. Glad you enjoyed it! I will send you my other one, "...And The Miracles Continue", if you don't have it. If you do, then I won't bother; but either way, let me know if you have it. That way, I won't make a mistake. *grins* Your kind comments are very much appreciated, and it is always good for an author to hear that people like what they do! :)
Well, I am going to see what Camp Sandusky is up to (the kids); things have gotten awfully quiet 'roun' here. I want to make sure that they aren't up to no good; if they are, then mama is going to lower the boom on them--Cajun style! WHEE! LOL Take care, Kate, and do write soon!
