Ohaiyo! Genki deska? Genki desu!
This is your friend in Tennessee, Louisisana May Sandusky, writing! I am sorry for not writing to you sooner, but I have been busy. You try to keep up on your e-mails when you have a full time job, and you try to keep up on your e-mails when you are raising over four dozen children! You try to keep up on e-mails when you have elderly parents to take care of, and you try to keep up on e-mails when you have deadlines when it comes to writing! Not easy my friend, not easy at all!
I hope that this finds you and Reiko (and the children) well. We are all doing fantastic, and I am also writing to tell you the good news. The good news is that we are adding yet another child to the family, a little seven-year-old boy from Russia who has cerebral palsy! Oh, he is the prettiest little thing: he has red hair and blue eyes, and he will be coming any time within the next few months or so! We are trying to get the place ready for his arrival, and we are so excited; we cannot wait to add little Vlademir Aleksander to our family!
I don't know why God keeps on blessing my family like this, but each time a child has come to us in need, we couldn't say no once we first saw their picture! Now it has gotten to the point to where once we DO get a particular child, we cannot imagine the family without him or her, and we have fallen head over heels in love with them! This Mother's Day is going to be extra special because God has chosen to bless our family once again with a child in need! :)
How is the weather there in Tokyo? Here it is partly sunny and pleasant out: the temperatures are in the sixties to near seventy degrees out, and the children are outside, playing in the yard. I can hear their happy shouts from the den as I type this on the computer, and I am praying that the peace holds out and that no arguments break out. Eventually, it seems someone annoys a child, and the tears and whining start! Oh, well--such is life when one is a mother! *grins* I hope the weather there is not too unpleasant!
Well, the tears have started; it sounds like Rani who is doing the crying. I will have to see who took the ball away from her and deal with the little urchin who caused his little sister to cry in the first place. I will write more later; I just wanted to share the good news about the impending adoption of Vlademir Aleksander to our ever-growing family!
