Dear Louisiana And Bill Sandusky And Family~

Hi! This is  your friends Jenna Aurora and Michael Doucet in Alaska! I am so happy to hear of the news that you are adopting (yet) another child, a little boy from Russia! How wonderful; congratulations! He sure is a cutie with his red hair and that winsome smile; he is going to break a lot of hearts when he gets older!

We are doing as good as can be expected. Mattaq is hanging tough in the NICU at Anchorage Children's Hospital, but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Some days he does terrific, and others he has problems that pop up.

Just the other day his kidney function dipped to near dangerous levels, making for anxious moments for Michael and myself, but the docs gave him special medication to help his kidneys, and now things are back in order. His kidney function is near normal, and he is hanging on by a thread.

Please continue to keep our son in your prayers; it is a Miracle he has made it this long! He is now a little over a month old, and he now weighs nearly two pounds.

I hope you made it through the storms; it seems that Tennessee has been rocked by storms lately. I hope that the weather is calming down there. Here in Alaska it is raining, really nasty outside, and I am stuck inside with a cold. I haven't been able to see our son at the hospital because I don't want to risk getting  him sicker than he already is, and Michael has been doing a good job of keeping me informed as to how he is faring and taking care of me. I think I'll keep him...*grins*

How was  your Mother's Day? Did the children take you out? I hope they did, and I hope you were waited on hand and foot! You deserve to be spoiled by your family one day out of the year! You will have to let me know how your Mother's Day went!

Did your company leave? Did you have fun with them? I hope that you had a good time at the Crawfish Festival! (I remember you saying in a past letter that you guys were going to Louisiana to go to the Crawfish Festival!) I also know you are going to the CMA Music Festival and Fan Fair in June, and that you and Bill are gearing up for your Mexican cruise in the latter part of the same month. Man, you guys are so lucky to be able to travel like that! I am a titch jealous! LOL (Next time you go somewhere can you sneak Michael or I in one of your pieces of luggage? I promise we won't take up much room! *grins*)

Well, dear guys, I will let you go for now. I know you are probably dealing with the children now, and that you are probably up to your armpits in children! LOL I still don't know how you guys do it without wanting to go CRAZY! I would be screaming for help (that is if I COULD scream!!)! LOL Take care, and God bless you always! Again, congrats on the soon to be adoption of Vlademir Aleksander; he is a lucky little boy to be chosen by you! All the best to you and little Vlademir!!
