Louisiana responds to her newest e-mail pal in Georgia after Carmen Rigoletti wrote to her before heading out the door. The Sandusky Clan is going to a huge Cajun music festival that is going to be held in downtown Nashville; they will be there all day.

Dear Carmen Victoria Rigoletti~
Thank you for writing; it was very nice to hear from you! Your family sounds a lot like mine--only much smaller! :) I will send you a copy of my book ("A Family Made Out Of Miracles And Rainbows"), free of charge, and autographed. Consider it to be a gift of the heart; don't you worry about the cost! :)
Your children sound lovely; you will have to send me a photo of your bunch so I can see what y'all look like! :) I am sending you a picture of my family that was taken around Christmastime; enjoy! I will also be sending you a picture of our newest child-to-be, Vlademir Aleksander, who will be arriving from Russia around June 15th (a little less than two weeks from now). That isn't too far off! :) Vlademir is seven years old, and he has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. He can't talk, but according to the medical reports from doctors over there, he has a great personality.
As you can imagine, we are excited beyond belief! Vlady is our fifty-fourth child, and frankly, we were surprised that the adoption was approved because we already have fifty-three children now, more than enough!
To tell you a little about myself, Carmen, I am married (nearly 15 years now, as of June 26th) to my husband, Bill, and I am a charge nurse at a hospital here in Nashville. My husband works at Wal*Mart, where he is a "people-greeter", and we are enjoying our working lives very much. We are enjoying our children; it has gotten to the point to where we cannot imagine our family without ANY of the children! :)
In addition to being a mamma and a nurse, I am a writer. I have written three books (will soon have a fourth book later on this year or in early 2007). I spend a lot of time on the computer when I am not working, raising my family, or spending time with my adoption community.
Now I love to respond to my e-mails, but as soon as I get one (or two) answered, here comes four more! It is a never-ending battle at times, and it is a wonder I don't have more people mad at me because lately my record of responding to letters has been anything less than spectacular. I have friends I haven't written to in months, and I am wondering if they even think of me or wonder what is going on with me. I think about them, and I want to write to them, but somehow, something always comes up and then I get side-tracked.
If I don't write back soon (or as often as you would like), please don't be angry with me. I have lost too many (potential) friends because of this, and it hurts deeply inside.
Well, Carmen, I am going to go now. We are getting ready to go to a huge Cajun music festival being held in downtown Nashville, and we will be gone all day. Please do write soon; I will be more than happy to write to you. I would like to know more about what is going on in your family's world, and if you ever need help (or prayer) in the future, please do know this: I will be there for you, every step of the way! :)

P.S.: The picture I put on here is of the "main attraction" tonight at the Cajun festival: I have seen "BeauSoleil" countless times, and they are probably the best known Cajun band out there. They have won Grammy Awards for their music, and they are world-famous. They are terrific, and we enjoy their music so much! :)
I know what you mean: there's never enough time to "reach out and touch" as you'd like. The music festival sounds fun. Here in sacramento, we have a weekly street fair that features "Music in the Park" with local bands playing. This week is a rock group known on the club circuit as "The Beer Dawgs". Let us know how your cajun concert goes.
Louie is one of the busiest and most interesting people I ever read about! She can sure write, and that cajun festival sounds like fun! She doesn't miss much;-) Great write Karen!
