Louisiana writes to her friend in California upon getting a letter from her. She is overjoyed at how things have turned out for her friend.

Dear Audrey, Susie, Maria, and Lacey~
I am so happy y'all are back together; it has been a time of worry and strife on all our parts; but I am glad that things have turned out the way they did. God was in control, and it is only by His Grace and Mercy that y'all were granted the Miracle you experienced! :) How are y'all REALLY doing??
I am sorry if I wasn't more of a friend. I am sorry if y'all missed me when y'all stopped by my house or if I didn't return your phone calls. Please do forgive me.
We are doing very well; we are getting ready to go to the CMA Music Festival (Fan Fair), which is a four-day-long country music shindig held every first (or second) weekend in June here in Nashville. There are continuous music concerts, endless opportunities for fans to meet their favorite country music entertainers (or perhaps snag an autograph or photo opportunity or two), and a chance to meet country music fans from all over the world. We have gone to this festival ever since Johnny and Ronee' were both really little, and as the family grew, the other children came, too. We have enjoyed ourselves, and we have met just about anyone you can imagine in country music: it is a veritable "Who's Who" in country music! :) (We leave Thursday, and we come back Sunday afternoon.)
Over the past weekend, we went to a Cajun music festival, and we saw/heard some of the best Cajun music bands around. We danced, we ate Cajun food until we thought our bellies would pop, and the kids rode rides. They also had a tribute to our fightin' men and women (past and present)--replete with special music from country music superstar Lee Greenwood and fireworks. A whole group of veterans from the VA hospital were in attendance, and my daddy, who was in the Army-Air Corps, was there, too. We ate like pigs, and I made a lot of new friends.
One woman in particular touched me: she lost both of her legs (above the knee) and had burns to her lower half and to one arm. She was suffering, but she tried to put on a brave face; her courage moved me, and it turned out that she was from Slidell, Louisiana. I do think I will be seeing this young lady veteran again in the future (or at least e-mailing her). Her name was Gwendolynn MiShell Robichaux, and she was a huge "BeauSoleil" fan. When "BeauSoleil" took to the stage, she was really whoopin' it up, and it was nice to see her forgetting her situation--at least for a little while.
How is the weather there? I hope it is nice. Here it is in the 80's, and it's cooled off quite a bit. We were in the upper 80's to mid-90's here in Nashville, but a cold front came blowin' through during the night, and now it is expected to be in the upper 70's to lower 80's, with a stiff north wind.
In just nine more days, we get our new son from Russia. We are all excited, and we are hoping that he will have a safe, uneventful journey. The children are all abuzz with excitement of getting a new brother, and it is akin to having a new baby! *Grins*
Speaking of babies, I have a new granddaughter who is now a few weeks old, and my friends in Finland became parents to a girl about a week ago (their first). I also have a friend here in Nashville (M'Buti) who is expecting quadruplets ( the doc thinks it may be all boys). Babies, babies, babies everywhere! Whee! *More grins*
Well, Audrey, I will be going for now. I am at work, and I am going to get something to eat. Take care; I will write soon! Your daughters look so beautiful; I am so thrilled that y'all are back together again! May God continue to pour His Blessings upon your lives, and know that if you ever need anything, I am as close as the computer or the phone!
