Dear Louisiana in Tennessee~
Thanks for your delightful letter; it was so nice to hear from you! I am glad you enjoyed the picture I sent; I really enjoyed the ones you enclosed! (I got them only yesterday; thanks for the pictures! Your family is really--ummm, shall we say, a little LARGE?? *grins* You have a beautiful family, and that little boy you are going to be adopting--Vlademir--is a cutie-pie! What a winning smile he has; he is going to break a lot of hearts when he is older!! :) )
What are you doing this weekend? Are you going to be doing anything special? I am going to be working at a veteran's picnic the city is throwing for our veterans, past and present, and I expect that there will be a very big crowd. There will be special guest speakers, special patriotic music, and even fireworks.
I have a friend whose son was in the Marines, and he was killed this year in Iraq; she is having a very hard time. Please keep her in prayer; her name is Kimberly Willis, and her son's name was Chandler. He was but 20 years old; he was shot by some insurgents in February of this year. It has been awfully hard on her and all of us who knew Chandler.
I have heard of that group whose picture you put on your letter; they are a fantastic Cajun music band! I hope you had fun at the Cajun festival; you will have to tell me all about it the next time you write! :) I love Cajun music; it's all because of my husband, Mario, who lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, for a time, before I even met him. He loved the music, and he still does. He also loves Cajun and Creole cookin', and he makes a mean jambalaya! :)
Louie, I have started reading your book, "A Family Made Out Of Miracles And Rainbows", and I have enjoyed what I read so far. You have really been through the mill on account of your children, haven't you? And to go on after losing three children of your own is absolutely incredible! How in the world do you keep your sanity, and how do you manage to keep tabs on over four dozen active children?? Wow!! You are not only a Mamma: you are a Miracle-Worker!! :D
How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here in Georgia it is in the upper eighties and rather humid. We are expected to heat up to the mid 90's, and I am dreadin' summer already. Summers here in the deep south can be BRUTAL! I don't know HOW people lived without air conditioning before it was made available!! I HATE hot weather! (Yeah, I know, I know..I live in the wrong state; I have heard it all before!! :) ) I hope it is a lot cooler there than it is here in the Peach Tree State!!

Great write here, the pic of peaches reminded me of my trip back to Georgia a few years ago, and reminded me of Fran eating all the homemade peach icecream LOL
