She and her family are at the CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair until tomorrow, where they have been seeing concerts and getting autographs from their favorite country music stars.

Dear Carmen in Atlanta, Georgia~
Hey! How are y'all doing? I hope this letter finds you well! We are doing terrific! We are currently in downtown Nashville, where the family is attending the annual country music shindig known as the CMA Music Festival and Fan Fair. We go every year, and we always have the best time!
People from all over the world come to this thing; we have already met people from as far away as Scotland, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Japan, and Jamaica; and there are many people here from the U.S.A. and Canada, too. We have come to see our favorite country music entertainers sing their biggest hits (and hopefully grab a photo op and/or an autograph or two!). We have been having a wonderful time, and the kids have been enjoying the music and riding the rides, plus they have special activities to keep them occupied (and out of their parents' hair for a while! *giggle*).
If you are a country music fan (and I gather that you are, judging from the favorable comments you said about "BeauSoleil"), you ought to make it a point to attend at least ONE Fan Fair in your lifetime. It is a bit on the expensive side, but you won't be sorry! (It also helps that we get group rate! *grins*) You will see more stars than you ever imagined, and a lot of the entertainers are very nice! You meet the legends as well as the newest and brightest stars, and some of the singers are quite young (not to mention, quite talented)! I do hope you make it to Fan Fair one year; once you DO go, you won't forget it as long as you live!!
Unfortunately Loretta Lynn isn't here: she is performing at the Windstar Casino (tonight) in Oklahoma. She has come to just about all the Fan Fairs ever since they started over 20 years ago, and when she isn't here, the event doesn't seem the same. Oh, well...that is okay; we can live without seeing her! LOL Of course, Ronee' and some of the others who love Loretta are a tad disappointed, but Ronee' is okay now; she saw her other favorite, Brad Paisley, and she is already in "luv"! LOL Johnny also saw his favorites Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap, and Dolly Parton, so he is as happy as a clam, too. :)
Ronee' performed last night at a showcase they had for emerging talent, and she enjoyed herself. We enjoyed her too; she has her own band, "Cajun Spice", and they are quite good for being only teenagers! Ronee' sang some classic country and Cajun standards, and she played her Cajun accordion and fiddle, and she had the audience dancing in the aisles; she did a terrific job!
Johnny also got into the act when he "tickled the ivories" and sang some Ronnie Milsap hits and even did some Jerry Lee Lewis (minus the fancy piano playing with his feet LOL), which had the audience screaming for more! It is amazing at the talent God has given Johnny and Ronee'; they are really going to be something one of these days! God is using them both in a mighty way, and it is such a blessing to see! :)
The weather here is delightful: sunny and pleasantly warm with temps in the lower to mid eighties, with low humidity levels; you couldn't ask for better weather! Usually when Fan Fair happens, the weather is ungodly hot, and we are about to MELT by the time Fan Fair is over! Even God is smiling on us here this year, and we couldn't be any more happier than we are right now! :)
I am sorry to hear about your friend's son being killed in Iraq. Please let Kimberly know that she is in my prayers. I am sorry about her loss; that must so hard to know that her son died trying to protect us! That is the ultimate sacrifice, and unfortunately, that is what happens during war time. Some of the good guys are going to get killed as well as the enemy, and we must come to expect that. All we can do is pray for our remaining fighting men and women and ask that God keep them safe! I will call our church and let them know about Kimberly and Chandler Willis!

We are seeing her in July, on the 29th, when we head to Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas! We already have sent for our tickets! :) )
