Dear Naomi Ruth~

I am relieved to know that your dear daughter has come through her latest round of surgery and that she is on the road to recovery. That is such a huge relief on my mind! However, I was sorry to learn that Rebekkah lost her other leg; but if I know Rebekkah, she will come through this trial just fine. She is one of the most courageous kids I know, and you have done a terrific job in raising her! :)

I will not tell Johnny just yet about Rebekkah. You are right in suggesting that this is best; but in the end, I feel that his not knowing (or his finding out later from Rebekkah herself) will only damage his trust in me. After all, Rebekkah is his girlfriend; he has the right to know what is going on with her! If he gets sick, that is the chance I am willing to take, but I personally feel that Johnny needs to be told about Rebekkah's health! I will have to find the right words to say and be there when that time does come. Johnny will need my support, and he will have to understand that this what was best for her.

It sounds like Susie Jackson is having some awful trials of her own, what with her upcoming surgery and her seizures. That girl needs a lot of help--she has been through so much in her young life, and it will take months (possibly even YEARS!) for her to recover from the recent traumas she and her family have experienced. I will do anything in my power I can to help her and her family (and you too!), even if it means I come out there.

Y'all need my support, and I have already gotten the flight information completed (details enclosed on a seperate piece of papre, which will be faxed to you). I will be there sometime Monday afternoon at 2:30 if there are no delays. If you or Micah cannot meet me at the airport, I will take a taxi to the hospital where Rebekkah is at and surprise y'all there. Will that be okay? Let me know, ASAP!!

Bill and the kids know of my plans to go to California, and they understand that I need to be with you during this emergency. Right now, I don't know how long I'll be there; I'll be there for as long as it takes, just until things start to settle (whenever THAT will be!!).

Well, Naomi, I will let you go for now. I will see you on Monday afternoon sometime; I am looking forward to it! Please do take care, and God be with you, Micah, and especially Rebekkah during this situation! You will be in my prayers! All the best to y'all!
