Dear Sari and Nikolas~
Thank you so much for writing! We just got a picture of you guys the other day; what a beautiful child your Birtta Aurora is! You are right: she does favor the two of you! I see aspects of both of you whenever we look at her!
I am so happy that you are doing better in regards to your health. That is great news! I had been worried about you!
Your kitties sound adorable! Your "Ritva" is a pretty girl! We still have "Cajun", but "Cajun" belongs to Ronee'. "Cajun" is no longer a kitten of course, but tell that to her. She is still plenty active, and she never ceases to amaze us with her intelligent, lively spirit!
She does stand up for herself as far as our dogs are concerned: she is twice the size of my Pomeranian, "Cajun Gold", and if "Cajun Gold" gets on her nerves, a quick slap on her tender nose will suffice! LOL Poor "Cajun Gold" has been on the receiving end of "Cajun's" sharp kittycat claws many times, but she never learns! LOL She still gets it from the cat! LOL
Or she will leap on our Great Dane "Marmaduke's" back and ride him like a rodeo cowboy! LOL She isn't scared of him either, although he could very easily squash her like a bug if he ever sat on her! LOL
We have been thinking of adding a Norwegian Forest Cat to our family ourselves, but we may wait until Gabriel has arrived from Israel and is settled into our family. That may take as long as a year: there is no telling what Gabriel may have experienced, and hopefully his seizures are to where they can be easily controlled.
The weather has been hot lately, but we got some thunderstorms a few hours ago, and now the air has cooled down beautifully. Temps right now are in the 70's, and the clouds have all but left. We have opened up all the windows, and have turned off the A/C. The air smells heavenly, and our yard and trees have turned a lush, vivid green.
How is the weather there in Finland? Hope it isn't causing you too much in the way of problems!
Well, our children are looking forward to Gabriel's arrival. Some of them have taken to learning some basic Hebrew so they can communicate with their brother. He is a beautiful child with his curly brown hair and bright, dark eyes! Our newest adopted child, Janica, has been with us for over a year now, and she now speaks English as though she had been born speaking it all of her life! :)
Johnny is now home from the hospital: he had a procedure done (muscle biopsy), and he had no post-operative complications, thank the Lord! :) His MD is still holding its own (much to our surprise!). It is unbelievable at the strength our Johnny possesses inside his little body: that child is absolutely amazing!! The news was much better than we caould have ever hoped for; it was an answer to prayer! :)
We are celebrating Johnny's good fortune by throwing him a surprise party. We are having the party tonight at Fire Mountain, which is a good buffet-style restaurant here in America. Bill's brother Carl and his family are coming for the party. It will be a great time--and we will get some great, freshly-cooked food in the process! :) I know that Johnny will enjoy himself emmensely; he has had a lot of things on his mind lately, and he needs some joy in his life!

Hi Karen, Great to read all the good news here. I chuckled when I read about the rodeo cat: "Or she will leap on our Great Dane "Marmaduke's" back and ride him like a rodeo cowboy!" That was so visual! I pray that Johnny continues to heal and that Gabriel will enjoy his new home.
