Hi! I am sorry for not writing in here for a while, but I have been busy!! I hope you understand why I haven't written!
Lots of news to talk about: for starters, I am getting ready for school, which starts in a few weeks. The new school season starts up the day after Labor Day (the fifth of September), and I am going into the eighth grade. I have my school supplies, and I have some new clothes, too; at least when I start school I won't be caught without some important things, ya know?? *grins*
Secondly, our new brother, Gabriel Abrahiam, is coming in a few weeks from Israel. He is six years old, and he has seizures. He is a real cutie pie with his curly, dark hair and huge, expressive black eyes! I can't wait to meet him! :) I have been learning some basic Hebrew, and you want to know something? Hebrew is a hard language to learn! (Maman is teaching us, and so is Rebekkah; she has been calling us a few times a week, and she is teaching us Hebrew, too.)
Thirdly, our cruise is going to happen in a little less than a month, and I am really getting excited! I loved Alaska the first time I went; I know I am going to love her the second time around! Hopefully I will get to see some more northern lights! :)
I will be able to see Jenna Aurora Doucet, her hubby, Michael, and their new baby boy, Mattaq; and maybe I will even get to see Sikik Eegeesiak! I hope so! :)
Okay, let's see...what else, what else is new?? Oh, yeah..I went to my friend's funeral a few weeks back. Opri Johnson, who was a friend of mine for years, died of kidney failure (and other health problems); he would have been fourteen years old on September 11th. I really miss him---
I also have been invited to sing at the fifth anniversary of September 11, 2001, at the city's memorial tribute. I love singing, but singing at a memorial for something so tragic has always been very difficult for me. I think of all those poor people who died at the hands of terrible terrorists, and my heart breaks. Why they had to die the way they did is beyond description, and I still have nightmares about it from time to time. I have been talking to a counselor, and I have also been writing out my feelings; it has allowed me to heal, but the pain is stil there, deep inside my chest!
I still find it difficult to pray for those bad people, but it is a command from God to pray for those who persecute against humanity, so I do it, no questions asked. Good or bad, all people deserve to be prayed for!
My health has been doing great: no problems there. I am glad; I hate having to get sick unexpectedly or go into the hospital! I am still walking well on just my canes, and I am all recovered from my sprained ankle! It feels good to be able to run around again! (I just watch where I am going, make sure there are no more holes for me to fall into! LOL)
I have a new favorite show on tv: I watched "America's Got Talent", and I loved it! I tried out when they had the auditions here in Nashville earlier this year, before the show began, but I got nervous; therefore, I didn't make it. Maybe I will try out again when the show returns in January. (The tryouts for the second season will probably start out in November or December; I will have to stay tuned and check on the NBC site!) Hopefully I won't do what I did this year: get sick on stage! THAT, my friends, was embarrassing!
I was rooting for Taylor Ware, who is from Franklin, which is not far from here. She didn't win, but she sure gave some of those other acts a run for their money! A girl from Philly won (Bianca Ryan), and she was good! A future diva in the making! She deserved to win, in my opinion! :) I think the judges (and the public) made the right decision when they picked Bianca Ryan! :)

Hi Karen, I enjoyed this journal entry. The pace was good and there was lots to tell. I felt excitement building over the arrival of Garbriel...and the cruise to Alaska sounds exciting. A lot happening in Ronee's life. Keep the positive strand going...time to uplift the spirits of all concerned. :) Make September a new beginning!
