Saturday, September 16, 2006, on board our cruise ship, the Carnival "Spirit"~

Ahoy, maties! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Well, now, shiver me timbers! Pop on up to the poop deck, and---Oh, excuse me!! Sorry about that; I don't know what came over me! *grins* Must be that Alaskan air---

This is your cruisin' buddy, Johnny. I think I am on a cruise! nahhhh, I am in my bed at home back in Nashville, Tennessee, sleeping! LOL But seriously folks, I am on a cruise!! Me and my family (all one million of 'em! LOL) are on an Alaskan cruise, and we are having the time of our lives! We have (so far!) gone to the Alaska SeaLife Center (a research aquarium full of marine mammals and birds; that was NEAT!!), saw glaciers at Kenai Fjords National Park, saw the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge (we saw salmon, eagles and hawks, snowy owls, bears, moose, and caribou), and that was NOT counting the time I was at Camp Carnival!! *Whew!* I have been one very busy boy! I am tired!! *YAWWWWWWWWWN*

Today, once the gang is up, we are going to get off the ship and take an off-ship excursion to Anchorage. We will take a rented bus up there and spend a few nights there. Maybe while there, we can go to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, go to the Alaska Zoo, and stop by Jenna and Michael's place before we head back to the ship. It is going to be a very busy few days, but today, at least, we can relax and catch our breath while we go on the bus as we head up towards Anchorage.

 Maybe on the way we can stop in for some vittles; I am getting hungry! (I don't know what the locals are going to think when they see a bus full of people pull on up, but they'd better feed us before we end up as bear  food! That would NOT  be good! LOL)

Maybe when we are in Anchorage, we'll see the Northern Lights. If so, Ronee'll be happy; that is her number one priority while here. She also wants to collect some more of her Inuit doll babies and hopefully meet a cute guy or two---*Grins*

I have absolutely no interest in finding a girlfriend ('sides, I already GOT one, Rebekkah Rachel!! :) ). Besides, I am two years too young (okay, okay, a little over two years!) before I am even allowed to date! I'm more into the scenery and all the action! Errr, I mean attractions!! LOL

Weds. nite was the Captain's Dinner, which was his way of welcoming us to the cruise. As you can imagine, the place was packed, absolutely packed! There was music (big band *YARGG!* Old people's music! I HATE big band music!!) and dancing, food as far as the  eye could see (I didn't eat all that much; food was too rich for my sensitive stomach! I also was afraid of ruining my tux and slacks; I'm not the world's neatest eater!), and much laughter. I had a good time at the Captain's Dinner, but the food was too much for my delicate constitution, and I didn't want to end up getting sick, and the music was bogus!

There were people videotaping, and that was another reason I couldn't eat. I was afraid I'd end up doing something stupid at about the time I was being videotaped. (Look out, "America's Funniest Home Videos"!) I hope I don't end up on the ship's video; if so, I might have to die a thousand deaths or commit hari kari (whichever comes first!). LOL

Well, I hear mama at the door; guess she is seeing if I'm awake. (I am; otherwise, I wouldn't be writing on this, my laptop 'puter!) Gues that means I have to scoot!
