Weds., September 20, 2006, on board the Carnival Spirit~

Dear Journal~

Ahoy, maties! This is your cruise director, Johnny Sandusky! *grins*

We are back on board the Carnival Spirit. We have one more night here in Alaska before we shove on off for San Francisco; we leave in the morning. I'm a little sad that our vacation is to be ending soon; we will be back in Tennessee sometime Monday. That is only four and a half days from now. (I don't want my vacation to end! I have have waaaay too much fun!!)

Let's see: while in Alaska, we went to the Alaska Zoo and the Native Heritage Center both in Anchorage, went to the aquarium in Seward, saw lots of caribou, elk, wolves, eagles, hawks, ravens, bears, moose, and geese, saw the glaciers, went to an Inuit festival (I did not have any seal or whale meat this time; I knew better! Bleccch! Both seal and whale meat are disgusting!!), and of course, we saw lots of Northern Lights that were all colors of the rainbow; they were quite spectacular!

We saw Jenna and Michael, mommy's friends; we got to meet their baby boy, Mattaq, who is now five months old and a teeny little guy! He's not much bigger than a newborn; he probably weighs six pounds now! He is cute, but he cried a lot; what a racket that kid made! His squalling hurt my ears; it made my hearing aids squeal! *ow*

Well, this is it. I will write again when we are back home in Tennessee. See, I told you I would write again in here before we left! I kept my promise!
