Dear Kia~

Hi! This is your friend, Ronee'!

Thanks for your e-mail; it was good to hear from you! I hope all is well with your family!

We are doing great; we are on our way back to San Francisco, where we will disembark from our ship and go through customs (which is a long, lengthy process). Once off the ship, we will go to our motel and crash until tomorrow sometime. (Though I probably can sleep for a year; gosh, am I ever tired!! This trip was fun, but boy, it wore me plumb out! Whee! LOL)

I am looking forward to seeing you guys (as well as Rebekkah) again, but if I don't say much, please do forgive me. I am very tired, and all I want to do is sleep!! LOL

We had a wonderful time in Alaska: we saw and did a lot of things, and I got to see the northern lights! Kia, have you ever seen the northern lights? If not, they are truly awesome! I hope you get the chance to see them one day! :)

We did something cool before we went on our cruise: our school had a multicultural festival, and different teachers gave the kids a specific country they were to represent. I was to represent the African nation of Nigeria. I had to wear an African-style dress and jewelry, and I had my hair done up in braids. I really looked different: when I saw myself in the mirror, it was as though a total stranger was looking back at me. It was wild!!

My brother, Johnny, took part, too, and he looked just about as different as I did (if not, even more so!). He represented the African nation of Kenya. He wore a Maasai style shuka (robe) and he had the Maasai-style jewelry on as well. He looked great, but I'd never seen a Maasai child with light skin, blue eyes, or white-blonde hair! LOL All the Maasai people I have met (or seen in pictures) are dark with black (or brown) hair and deep-brown eyes!

I will have to show my friend, M'Buti, a picture of Johnny in his Maasai garb: I know she will get a kick out of it! (M'buti is of the Maasai tribe, and she was born in Kenya, in Eldoret, which is near the capitol city of Nairobi.)

I guess you heard about Susie Jackson being in the hospital. Isn't that sad? I have been stormin' the gates of Heaven with my prayers on her behalf, and it is all I can do to keep from crying! I pray she makes it through this latest medical crisis!

Well, Kia, I will probably see you later, so this'll be shorter than usual for me (ha, ha). I am looking forward to it!

Dear Kia!

Thanks for your sweet e-mail! It is nice to hear from you!

I am sitting in my cabin, bored almost to the point of tears. Now that Ronee' has finished hogging the computer, it is my turn to write! I am looking forward to seeing you and your family; I know it's been a while! I am especially looking forward to seeing my girlfriend, Rebekkah Rachel. She sure has had a bad year of it lately, hasn't she? Glad she is doing so much better! :)

Now Susie lies dying in the hospital, and once again, my family has been in tears. We have been praying hard, not only for Susie, but for Audrey, Maria, and Lacey! I hope Susie makes it; from what I have heard from mommy, it doesn't sound all that good!

 I feel bad for Audrey: she has had a bad year, and just when things seem to be coming along well for her, *WHAMMO* More problems!! Personally, I don't know  how one person can stand so much in the way of heartache! If I were her, I'd go crazy!! YIKES!!

How are you doing? I am tired, but I am otherwise okay. My MD has been behaving itself (for the most part!), and I haven't had any unusual seizures (or other problems) in months. I pray my good health streak continues; I can get used to this! :)

We've been on an Alaskan cruise, and it is nearly over. We fly back home to Tennessee Monday morning; we'll be home sometime in the afternoon or evening. I hope we have a good trip back; I know I'll be happy to be back in my own room (not to mention, my own bed)! :) Then Weds. we go back to the old grind of schoolwork (*sigggh*) and on the weekend, I plan on doing nothing but sleep!! I am beyond exhausted!!

We had a good time in Alaska. I've now been to Alaska three times, and I love it there! Only problem is it is too cold! BRRR!! I am used to temps in the 70's, 80's, or 90's in the summertime, not in the fifties and sixties! I almost froze! BRRR!! LOL I am glad I live in Tennessee! *grins*

Well, I will see you soon, so I guess this is so long for now. My mind just went blank. I took a Dilaudid (for my seizures), and it makes me all goofy-headed. I hate that! Anyway, I will go. Take care, Kia, and God bless!
