Monday, October 16, 2006, a little after 7 in the evening~

Dear Rebekkah~

You are more than welcome; I just wish this didn't have to happen. But Daniella is in a better place, and she is finally at peace. Best of all, she is with Jesus, who will take care of her and watch over her forever.

I have been doing a lot of praying and journaling since this happened, and it has helped me. The sad feelings are still there (they will be for a while; I am grieving, too), but I am glad I have the support of friends and family to get me through this rough patch.

Physically, I have been doing great. My arthritis hasn't acted up in a while (I still have pain, especially if it is going to rain or if it is raining), but I just take it in stride and make myself go on. I can't give in to it; I am a very busy teenage girl!

Maman is all over her virus, thank the Lord, and it is only by a Miracle that daddy or the kids didn't get it. We were worried about maman, though; she was so sick, and it scared us. She lost a lot of weight, and now she is trying to eat more, so she can regain that lost weight.

Maman has been at work; she just got home a while ago. She worked a double shift today; one of the nurses is out with the virus, so she covered her shift until the night nurse came. She was very appreciative, and so were her bosses. (She ought to have a good check come next pay day--)

Daddy is still working at Wal*Mart; he works from ten in the morning until six or so (sometimes later if someone is late). He has been with Wal*Mart for over three years now, and the bosses think he is one of the best workers they ever hired. They have learned to see past his physical disabilities, and they see that he loves his job. He has had a few raises, and so far, his job is safe in the bank. I pray and hope this continues.

Johnny felt better after writing to you earlier, but he is still upset. It hurts me to see him looking so sad; but I can understand. He is grieving too, and seeing that you are his girlfriend, the tragedy hit him very hard. Please continue to pray for him; he really needs a touch from the Lord!

I have written several poems about what happened, and if you want, I will send one or two. Is that okay with you or your family? Let me know!

I have written in my journal about this situation, too, and while I cry, it definitely makes me feel better in the long run. I guess I will cry for a while; it's only natural.

Well, I am going to be hitting the sack in a bit (school tomorrow, you know), so I will be closing. Please take care, Rebekkah, and know if you want, you can call me or e-mail me.
