This won't be long, but I wanted to write to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you.
How is Karla doing? I am sorry to hear she hasn't been doing well in regards to her health. Please let her know that she is being lifted up in prayer. (You are, too.)
I am sorry if I haven't written, but things got out of hand, and now I face this mountain of unanswered e-mail. *YARGG!* Don't worry, though: I have answered a few of them, so at least I am starting to make an effort!
I have had a rough patch lately, but God is bringing me through it. A friend's little girl was kidnaped (and later found murdered; she was only five), and I am dealing with this. I was shocked to hear about what happened, but I sent my friend a funeral bouquet for Daniella (as well as some cash and a sympathy card), to let her know that I care. This family has already been through so much, and I am grieving right along with them.
Besides this, I had a nasty old virus that about did me in, but thankfully, I'm all over it now. I lost a lot of weight as a result, and it was not a pleasant experience! I hope I never get anything like that ever again; once was more than enough! I can thank God that my husband and my children didn't come down with this; that would have been a disaster!
I was off yesterday, because on Monday (or was it Tuesday? LOL) I ended up working a double shift because one of my nurses from OB/GYN is down with the virus. I was supposed to get off at 2:00; I ended up working until 7 that night. By the time I started out to go home, I was beyond exhausted! I was beat!
Well, Wyndi, I am going to stop here. Write back when you can, and know that you and Karla are both in my thoughts!
Karen, each of your characters is so expressly a part of your whole personality, that you must surely be a dynamo!
I enjoy each and every one of them, and the little nuances that make each special, in his or her own way.
What a beautiful letter...and if you have any doubt to the implications created in your stories...I have felt the loss of that little girl ever since I first read about it.
