Dear Louisiana, Bill, and Family~
You don't know how much it warms my heart to finally get a letter from you! Thank you for writing; it was so good to hear from you!
I am glad you are feeling better. I had that nasty virus myself last month, and it about killed me. In fact, I was so sick, I ended up in the hospital; I was in for three days, but whatever stuff they gave me in my I.V. line sure did the trick! Cleaned me out like a whistle! Whee! LOL
Michael had it too, but not nearly as bad as me. He didn't have to go to the hospital, thank goodness, but he spent two days at the porcelain palace, and he was miserable! Thank GOD the baby didn't get it, but we two did, and we do not want it ever again! That was more than enough!
I heard you had the virus too. I hope the kids and Bill didn't get it. Did you end up in the hospital like I did? I hope not; but in case you did, I hope they took good care of you!
How is the weather there? It is cold here, temps in the forties, lows in the twenties at night. Good sleeping weather, and perfect for viewing auroras (that is, if there's no clouds or lights in the sky to block aurora's view).
We have had some spectacular auroral displays here, and whenever we see the multicolored dancing ribbons of light in the night sky, we are always entranced. Poor Mattaq doesn't know what to make of the auroras, though: the first time he saw them, he got so scared he cried, poor baby!
It sounds like the kids are doing well! When I saw them, I couldn't believe my eyes, at how big they got! Ronee' no longer looks like a little girl: she is turning into a sophisticated young woman, and when I saw her, I didn't recognize her! As for Johnny, he sure is getting big, too! I was happy to see that his MD has been in check, and that his moods have been so much brighter! He is such a loving young man, and he is a model of courage and inspiration that all kids can emulate!
Then there's Arjun: he is getting big! Two years old already? My! It seems like it was only yesterday when you first brought him home from Sri Lanka! It is amazing to hear him talk and chatter; he is such a smart little guy!
You guys are looking good, too. I have seen you look tired and exhausted, but when you came to see us here in Anchorage, you looked like you oozed with renewed energy and life! God is sure working in your lives, and I pray He continues to bless you; you guys deserve all the blessings that He can give! You are a fine example of a true Christian family with a heart for the Lord, and people admire that. I know I do!
Well, I got Mattaq an early Christmas present: he loves Elmo and "Sesame Street", and I happened to find a Tickle-Me-Elmo. I know heh will love that, especially when the little furry guy breaks into his giggle! We watch "Sesame Street" along with our son, and we get a huge kick out of it! (Call us true parents when we watch programs like "Caillou," "Sesame Street", and "Between the Lions" on PBS! LOL)
Of course, he doesn't know about "Elmo" yet, but I bet you a dollar on Christmas morning he will be beside himself in joy when we hand him his new "furry friend"! :) We are looking forward to seeing the expression on our son's face! It is going to be a moment to be cherished forever! :)
Well, Louie, this is all that is new here. Thanks again for writing; it made our day when we got an e-mail from you! Shows that you are still kicking! LOL I pray that God continues to provide all you need in life, and I pray you all remain strong, healthy, and hungry for the Lord! :)
