Dear Audrey~

Oh, boy. You asked me a question I don't know if I can answer. You see, Thanksgiving weekend is always chaotic at our house, and with kids coming home from college or their residences, the house will be jampacked with people. My kids who live away from home always try to make it a point to come home Thanksgiving. We usually end up going out to eat because it is much more convenient (and much easier on poor Mamma! LOL).

I will discuss this question with my husband, Bill, and see what he says. I am sure the kids would love to go back out west, but I don't want to wory about putting you out or in a bind.

I am glad the children (and you) are well, and it is good to know that Kia is getting the needed help. She is probably going to be scarred mentally, physically, and emotionally for a very long time to come, but if I know Kia, she will make it. I have complete faith in her!

It sounds like you and Rick are rapidly falling in love. I am happy that are getting married; that is the best news I've heard from you in a very long time! I wish y'all both the best, a healthy, long life together, a good relationship with each other, and most of all, all of God's blessings! :)

Guess who I heard from the other day: Gina Singleton, a mother who raises her own children despite living with MS. I will have to update her on my life (that'll take forever! LOL) and let her know what's been going on in my world!

I am still waiting to hear from Naomi Cohen and Wyndi Storm Piestala. I hope I hear from them soon; I am starting to get concerned~

I don't know why I keep on busting my head trying to get my mountain of e-mails answered. Just call me stubborn; I am willing to try to overcome the mountain, and I am hardheaded like my daddy Armand. He is about one of the most stubborn people I have ever known, and I guess I take after him. Call it the "Cajun Factor": we Cajuns are known for our stubbornness, and it is going to take an awful lot of convincing for people to try to change our minds about things! LOL

While I am the hardheaded one of the family, Bill is the complete opposite. He is in no ways a mushy wimp, but he lets his feelings be known. He has been known to cry at the drop of a hat. He has a very sensitive, sweet spirit about him, and he has given me more joy than I could have ever hoped for! :)

Well, Audrey, I am going to go now. I am going to take a later break before I miss out on the good stuff in the cafeteria. I will write more in here within the next few days; be on the lookout for more mail from me! :)

Give Rick and the kids (((Many Hugs))) and let them know that I am keeping them in prayer (you, too!). I love you with all my heart!

Determination is stubbornness by another name, Karen... and most of your characters score 100% on THAT front in terms of coping not just with the the ups and downs of their OWN lives, but in terms of entering in to the fullness of the maelstrom of others. Good grief, Louie is already pulled in a million directions at once, and now Audrey invites her and the family to travel West for a wedding? Let the woman REST!!! LOL She's got that amazing group of kids to care for, her job, recovering from the virus...if I were her, I'd put a package in the mail and on Thanksgiving Day, put my feet up and let the family take care of ME!
