I am happy to hear that you are doing well, but I was sorry to learn that you were so sick with that virus that you ended up in the hospital. Hopefully they took very good care of you there, and I am glad they knocked the bug out of you! You are very fortunate!

I am glad that the baby or Michael didn't get it; that I can be thankful for! God is good, isn't He?

No, thank God the kids or my husband did not get the virus; that would have been a national disaster in the making! I made sure that they stayed away from me while I was sick, and they tried to be quiet so Maman (me) could get her rest and recover from the bug. I am just glad it is out of our way; that is one less thing for us to worry about! :)

The auroras you descibed sound spectacular. Yes, we would love some more of your aurora pictures; they are always so pretty to look at, and it just makes us dream of the next time we can return to Alaska! :)

The weather today is rainy, but last night, we had our Fall Church Harvest Festival, and it went without a hitch. Over 2,500 people came, and several people dedicated their hearts to Christ, so it was a very successful event on many levels. We got rid of all the Bibles we were handing out, the kids got their fill of rides, games, food, and candy, the teenagers were having fun at the car bash and their area, the adults engaged in many different activities and stuffed their faces full of food, and thankfully nobody got sick or hurt. 

I dressed up, as did my kids and my husband, and we saw many cute or original costumes. Our senior pastor, Bruce Bilkey, ended up winning the grand prize for his costume; he got $500 in cash, and several movie passes and passes for free meals at participating restaurants. He was very amused, to say the least, and we were all happy that he won; he deserved to! :)

The best way to describe his costume is that he was a glow in the dark skeleton, but you couldn't see his costume. His costume was black, but the skeleton was neon white; the skeleton part glowed in the dark.  When he moved, all you could see was this skeleton; it was quite interesting to see. I don't know where he came up with that idea, but everyone loved his costume; he was a big hit at the festival! :)

Several of my children won: my daughter, Ronee', got second place in the adolescent division (she was Loretta Lynn; she won $150 and some movie passes), and Johnny, her brother, won first place in the adolescent division with his cowboy costume. He got $500 in cash and some movie passes. I was so proud of them; they really did well! :)

My son, Arjun, won first in the 2-3 year-old division; he was a plump pumkin, and my teenaged daughter, Jodie, won in the adolescent divison, ages 13-15; she got first as well. She was a fairy princess, and she really looked pretty! (Both children got $500 in cash and movie passes.)

Bill and I entered, but we didn't win. Bill was Raggedy Andy, and I was a gypsy princess. That is okay; we still had fun dressing up, and we had a lot of fun at our festival. I am already looking forward to next year's festival; it is going to be bigger and better than ever! :)
