Dear Betty Jo~

I will  make this short; am on break, have a half hour to go before I have to clock back in to go to work. My break seemed to fly by today!

I am sorry to hear that your youngest boy almost died as a result of that virus, but I am happy to learn that he is back home and is on the mend! It could have very easily been tragic; God was watching out for you, and for that I can only praise Him! He deserves all the praise we can give Him! :)

I am glad that you guys didn't have it nearly as bad as your youngest; but I was sorry to learn that you had it. I had it, but thankfully, my husband or my kids didn't get it. Again, more praise to the God Almighty! :)

I was sorry to learn of the terrible accident on your street. That is awful! I pray that those precious  little boys make it, and of course, I will keep the family lifted up in prayer! Such a shame; I feel the exact same way about alcohol and driving behind the wheel drunk as you do. I say lock up the repeat offenders for life (with absolutely no chance for parole!), and as for the repeat offenders, I'd make them visit any family that they changed as a result of their ill ways and see for themselves the pain the families have to endure day after day. I wouldn't go as far as cutting the arms off the drivers; but I would make them realize that driving and alcohol do NOT mix. PERIOD.

I am for abolishing alchohol too. I wish they'd outlaw it. There are too many drunken fools who don't need to be out there, and alcohol or alcoholism is only asking for trouble and heartbreak down the road. I know; I have seen it in action, and it is never a pretty picture!

I can understand your anger. You probably knew the family of which you spoke. I will be praying for them, and I will even have my church, Christ Community Assembly of God, pray for them. They need a miracle, and God is, I am happy to say, is still in the Miracle Making Business! He is very good at that sort of thing--and so much more! :)

Well, I am going to scoot. I have to get ready to go back to my job. I have five patients I am taking care of, and they are keeping me hopping! But I am still having a good day, and I hope it continues!

God bless, and write again when you can. Please kep me up to date on that family's situation; I want to know how they are doing, and I would like to send a card of encouragement to them. I think that is the Christian thing to do, and I am all for helping others! :)
