Thanks for your concern about the flooding; we did get a lot of heavy rain here, but thankfully no flooding. Where we live, we live on a hill, so we didn't get any high water (though round parts of Denton and other parts of North-Central Texas, they had flooding, like in Dallas, Burleson, Joshua--just south of Burleson, and Fort Worth). Thank God the rains have moved on; I was starting to feel a tad moldy! LOL

I did vote; I voted for the Governor of Texas (hopefully the person I voted in gets in), and I also voted against the partial abortion bill. Like you, I am totally against any abortion procedures of any kind, and I am also against stem cell research unless they use adult tissue. If they use fetal tissue, then I am hopping mad; that is a child that could have lived and be somebody, but some dumb idiot chose to end that child's life before they even had a chance! Nooo, I am totally against abortion, PERIOD.

I am glad you voted; you seem the type to do so every year. I voted last year, and I voted again this year; I never really voted, but then things started happening, scary things, and I had to make my voice heard.

We are all fine here; no problems to speak of, thank goodness. Glad y'all are doing fine too, but it sounds like you have your hands full with all those millions of kids, plus getting ready for the holiday season. As for me, I don't want to even think of Christmas shopping; it is way too soon, and seeing Christmas ads before Thanksgiving really rankles me to no end!

We are going to probably go to my mama's and daddy's house for the Turkey Day weekend; probably will also do the same for Christmas. We don't make it a point to make it a blowout like a lot of people do; we'd much rather have a quiet, unasssuming Christmas or Thanksgiving than a noisy one. Too much noise bothers me; it's bad enough having the kids when they are acting up! LOL
