Yes ideed, children do have rights. For every child that is born, they are intitled to their rights.
And so here it is, another day, the sky so bright and beautiful, nothing could ruin it, nothing, until all of a sudden the dark falls. What has caused this to happen? What could possibly turn the bright skies dark, dull and dreary in just moments?
Ah, we are informed that within a few short months, a child will be entering the world. Why is it that such wonderful news can cause so much stress? Why would one not be happy and rejoicing over this news?
A child, a new born life. A gift of love to brighten the future. such an innocent babe, to be loved and cuddled, to be told every moment of how important he/she is to you and the world.
Then there are tears, for this child was not planned, this was not meant to be. This child will miss out on the important things in life, the things that no amount of money can buy. There is no love supply for this unborn child. There will be no arms to hold him/her when she crys. There will be no one to care.
Why does this happen, why, because people aren't responsible for their actions. A child does not ask to come into the world but once they are part of it, they have rights.
Each and every child born into this world has the right to be loved so that they may love in return. They have the right to be held and hugged. They have the right to be told they are important to the world and that they weren't a (mistake).A child is so innocent to their surroundings, they can't do any wrong for they don't understand the meaning of wrong. Why should they suffer for someone else's actions. Everyone has done something that hasn't turned out right, something they we may not be too proud of. It is never too late to do right by it, there's always someone we can turn to, someone to lead us down the right path, someone to help us through our hard times. Even we need someone to hold us and remind us, that we are still important and that we are no less a person because we made a wrong choice.
Children have rights. They have the right to be loved, if you can't take on the responsibilities of your child then let adoptive parents give your child what you can't provide for them. Let them love this innocent child, let them be there with open arms and a hug when they hurt. Let them tell them how very important they are to the world. Let your child grow up with the life they deserve and a decent homelife with two parents who will love them unconditionally. There are really decent people in our world who can't have children of their own and would open not only their arms but their hearts to hold a child and love them and know that this is their blessing. Sometimes this is the best way to prove to our child that we do love them by wanting better then we can give to them. Take the time now to be responsible because, all children have rights, every child that is born into this world have rights and it is our place to make sure they get what they have the right to, Love and care, two arms to hold them , to keep them from fear, someone to share a smile and wipe their tears away, someone to love them each and everyday. Children have rights.
Great story, Rose. You are absolutely correct "Children Have Rights". As a parent, it hurts me to realized there are children brought into this world that were never wanted. Children deserve so much more than that. Very profound message in your write.
A great write Rose! You are right about some children. Its heartbreaking, as they do need love and attention and are often left out for one reason or another. There are so many kids which are abused or unwanted . Sadly its a reality in the world we live in. Thanks for sharing .....M

This is wonderful -- I can't help but feeling through your words that this is more than an ordinary write, but something a lot deeper -- a connection to this story. I hope that whoever it is, makes the right decision. I always wanted to have another, but due to cervical cancer, the lord chose that I do not. We have discussed adoption and maybe we will, but I have sooo much love for a life - that I know exactly what you are talking about.

A very moving write! Yes, every child deserves the right to be loved, hugged and told they are important. As I read this piece I was thinking of all the forgotten children in the world, from the homeless in our rich nations to those who suffer with no parents in countries of poverty. Every child has the right to claim who they are and not who we turn them ou to be, each child deserves freedom.......definitely a thinker of a write! Well done!
