It was snowing outside.
It looked so pretty.
The holiday’s lights reflected of f the pristine white.
A little girl named Sissy, gazed outside.
Thoughts of play deep inside.
But it was dark.
No playing this day.
So Sissy went to bed.
Thoughts of what she would do when the sun came up, Filling her head.
Brnnggggggg!!
The alarm clock said!
Quickly checking to see if school was canceled,Sissy dressed quickly in her winter gear.
Hat? Check
Sweater? Check
Snow suit? Check
Boots? Check
What was she missing?
Her scarf of course!!
Out the door she ran!!
The crisp cold air, sharp with every breath she took,
Out with the old, in with the new,
Sissy enjoyed that she could see her breath,
On the cold winter air.
Oh what to do, what to do first!
Let’s build a snowman!
That should do well.
Building a snowman,
Always great fun!
First, you gather some snow and roll in a ball.
Start rolling it on the ground until it gets bigger and round!
Then you do it again, slightly smaller though,
It goes right in the middle.
Thirdly, you make a third ball.
Not as big as the first, not even the second.
This is his head, smaller is perfect!
Sissy had built her snowman.
But he looks so plain.
What can she do to make him look better?
She looked at him hard, and then she took her scarf off.
He needed it more that she ever did.
The Sissy ran into the house, and grabbed a carrot from the fridge.
She stuck right in where his nose should have been.
She took her father’s old pipe,
Then decided against it,
“He doesn’t need it,” she said. “Smoking is bad for him.”
She took off her hat, and plopped it down on his head.
Now he looks better, but he still needs some limbs.
She searched around in the snow,
For some sticks for his arms.
But the boots stumped her,
What should she do?
Sissy took off her boots, and gave them to him.
Now he looks good!
Just like he should!
But what should she do next?
It was the holiday season.
Sissy knew right away, what she should do.
She wanted to go in, because she was so cold,
Her snowman taking all of her clothes.
But she had to do one more thing.
Her snowman needed a friend.
A special friend indeed.
Sissy lay on the ground, right next to the snowman.
She spread her arms and her legs so very wide apart.
She moved them back and forth,
Till she had what she desired.
Sissy made the snowman his own Angel.
A very special angel indeed, because she was made only for him,
So he wouldn’t be lonely, when she went back to school.
When Sissy was done with her angel and snowman,
She went inside her house to sit by the fire.
Her mommy was there with a blanket and cocoa,
And they sat there together,
Cuddled together,
Till the girl went to bed.
To begin once again on a brand new day.
While Sissy slept,
The moon sent some sparkle,
Right down to the Angel that lie there alone.
The Angel became real, and just for a moment.
She touched the snowman’s nose
And gave him a kiss.
She then went to Sissy,
Who was asleep in deep slumber,
She gave her a hug, and thanked her for life.
She then flew out the window,
And into the night.
And the snow fell again, to fill the hole,
That was left by the Angel, who flew up to God,
To tell him all about the little girl who had made her,
To keep a lonely snowman company, while she was at school.
