Dear Kendra Mae and Family~
Hi! This is Louisiana, wishing y'all a very happy New Year's! I hope you had a good Christmas; we did: all the kids came home, and our house is full to the gills; but we are loving it! :) It is good to see Lightning, her husband, and kids, Tanya, Dwerlina and Andre', Stephanie, Anh, Melizza, and Dianna again!
The remaining kids have been going crazy with excitement at seeing their older brother and sisters again, and they are also high from the gifts that Santa Claus has given them. They got things like X-Boxes, MP3 players, video games, art supplies, clothes, CDs, DVDs, money, and books. Santa Claus was very generous with the Sanduskys this year; in fact, he also left us with an X-Box and a plasma television set for Bill and myself; and we are enjoying the gifts very much! :)
We also have found out that we are adding to the family: we are adopting two little boys and girls from Iraq (Emir Muhammed), China (Mai Fong), Vietnam (Huong Vu), and India (Vijay). We will soon have *fifty-nine* children! *GAD!* Where are we going to put them when they come to the house?? No wonder my hair is going grey: we try to say no to any new children, but then we see their faces, and we can't help but to fall in love with them, and they end up in our family! No wonder people think we are crazy; we must be to take in all these unwanted kids! LOL
How is the weather there, Kendra? Did all the kids make it home for Christmas? I hope y'all are having a wonderful time! Seems like you are adding to the family too; pretty soon, at the rate you are going, your family will be as big as mine before too long! LOL I hope all the kids are well!
Our kids have been doing great healthwise, but then on December 1, Johnny got sick; he had trouble breathing and his heart rate accelerated to over 200 beats per minute. We had to call an ambulance for him; he was in the hospital for nearly three weeks, part of that time in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Then, on the ninth, Ronee' flared with her JRA; she was in the hospital for a week and a half. It was a trying time for us; I spent all the time at the hospital, and poor Bill had to fend for himself and the kids all by his lonesome! He did come to the hospital several times to see Johnny and Ronee', but then he'd leave, so he could take care of things at home.
Johnny and Ronee' have since recovered from their recent illnesses, I am happy to say, and they are doing well on their new meds. Johnny also has to wear his oxygen more now than he did; but that is okay: as long as he isn't having too much trouble with his breathing, then I am okay with that! :)
What did you do for Christmas? We had our gift opening in the morning, then we went to the Golden Corral for lunch. We then came back home and watched the Eagles peck the Dallas Cowboys; what a rotten game that was! Dallas played poorly, and we were very disappointed in the outcome. (Guess you can tell who we were rooting for--and it wasn't the Eagles! LOL) Hope your Christmas was quiet (but somehow I doubt that it was, with all the kids! LOL)!
We went to Christmas Eve services at our church; it was very beautiful. Ronee' and Johnny both sang (Johnny sang--and signed--"Silent Night", and Ronee' did "O Holy Night"); to hear them sing so beautifully made me and Bill cry! Pastor Bilkey then did his sermon after the Cantata had ended, and he told the story of the Saviour's Birth. After that, during altar call, twelve people came forward and gave their hearts to Christ; it was all very moving.
Well, Kendra, I will go for now. The phone is ringing. I will have to answer it. I will write another time; in the meantime, you take care of that beautiful family of yours, and may you have a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2007! God bless you mightily!
