Dear Louisiana~
It was so good to hear from you; sounds like you have been keeping yourselves busy! Good on you! :) Things here have settled; my folks have left (they live in Amarillo), and the kids are getting over their sugar rushes and post-Christmas excitement. In fact, tomorrow they head on back to school, which will give me a welcome break! :)
I was sorry to learn that Johnny and Ronee' were in the hospital; hopefully they are doing much better now. I am glad the other kids didn't get sick; that would not be good!
Speaking of kids, I want to offer my congratulatory wishes on the new ones that will soon be joining your family; that is wonderful news! But I still think that you are crazy; I am sure you have heard this from other people before! Fifty-five kids (soon to be fifty-nine)?? I can't imagine that! Wow! You guys are incredible!!
Sounds like you have been busy at the hospital too. I can't imagine being a nurse; you see such suffering and heartache day in and day out. I don't think I could do that; it takes a special kind of person to take care of the sick and dying! You have my utmost admiration, Louisiana!
The weather here is sunny, supposed to be in the fifties most of this week, and one day we will warm up to near seventy until the next cool front comes. Hope the weather up there in Nashville isn't too nasty. We had storms come through on Friday; we were under tornado watches and warnings a good part of the afternoon; scary stuff!
I saw some funnels while I was out doing my errands, and I got plenty worried; I was afraid we'd have a tornado, but thank God we didn't. I am dreading the spring season; that is our worst time when it comes to stormy weather. That is when we have the worst of it, and having no basements here, you can probably understand why I get concerned!
It sounds like you need a break from the kids. I guess Christmas got to them; what with all the new toys and gadgetry, the sugar rushes, the twinkling lights, and Santa Claus: yeah, Christmas is like that here too at the Weston house! LOL I had to laugh when I read of your comment about adopting more kids after complaining about the kids fighting! Funny stuff! LOL You'd make a good writer of humor stories; you could be another Erma Bombeck! LOL Your writing style reminds me a lot of hers, and I always get a smile whenever I read your e-mails!
How many books do you have out? You said you are working on another book! I would love to read more of your books, and I would love to know where I could get copies of some of them! Let me know; I'll gladly pay for them! Just let me know how much the books cost, and I will send you the money, pronto!
I am trying to do a book on my family, but writing is a lot harder than I realized. I try to get the words down, but somehow they come out all wrong, and I end up getting frustrated! I don't know how you writers do it!
