Before my sons both played sports in middle school and high school, I thought football was dumb. There's nothing that motivates the average SuperBowl fan like sitting on a cold toilet seat first thing in the a.m. Wonder what Chicago Bears Lovie Smith and Indianapolis Colts Tony Dungy thought about when they woke up this morning?
It's wintertime. And it's cold outside in Indiana. And it's SuperBowl with the Colts vs. Bears. Makes one wanna go "hMMMM"...
If asked 15 years ago I would have eagerly started the "She-roes Football Haters Club." But then after my darling offspring got to skrimishing (scrimmaging. . .shoot I don''t know I''m just the football widow), the most wonderful part of footabll for me was that feeling of being the MOM in the stands. And like most mom''s, I''d act a fool. . . . (more on this when I go to the throne. . . it''s cold out, I gotta go to church, and it''s very motivational. . . . like Cosby said when you get older you have to sit down to push the thought process back up to the brain cells. . . .
Duty calls -- (or will it be "doodie calls)--"? At my age it''s hard to predict. . . .
To be continued once "my brain" warms up a bit. I''m a crazy Colts fan at least for SuperBowl XLI.
(New England Patriots fans?. . .nyah-nyah-na-NYAH-NYAH!)

None of my boys were sports minded, except for the backyard games with mom participating. And bowling . . . Not too much to worry about there unless they wing that dang ball backwards at you. :)
Have used the throne a good many times just too get away from it all, though. Made sure, and still make sure, there's worthwhile reading material by it. My boys and my husbad say I preside regally over my kingdom . . .
Often wondered though, if I had a daughter, would I have been usurped from thence?
And would she have been the one wanting to join up for field hockey, softball, basketball, volleyball........ Well, had it been the case, I'd've been there rootin' for her!
But my "kindgdom", I think, would've stll have been mine! I think...
With seven boys inundating my home every weekend throughout football season, the throne becomes a peaceful place for me to "hide-out" HA!
