Dear Ma'am~

My name is Margot Claire Hamblin. I live in Duluth, Minnesota, which is, right now, a balmy 0 degrees outside. :) The ground (and just about everything else) is covered with a blanket of snow: now we start to dig ourselves out from the storm.

As a result of the blizzard, which struck Monday night and most of yesterday, most businesses (and all the schools) are closed, and our governor is telling us Minnesotans to stay off the roads, as they are extremely treacherous. I am home with our kids, and Paul (he's my husband) is shoveling our driveway. He'll be out there for a good while: we got over a foot of the white stuff.

To tell you a bit about myself and our family, Paul and I have been married 10 years (today; it's our anniversary! :) ). We have three kids, two birth children (Paul, Jr. [8] , and Megan [6]), and our youngest, Chong (2), who was adopted from Korea. Our kids are all healthy, I am glad to say.

The reason I am writing to you, ma'am, is because I read your books ("A Family Made Out Of Miracles And Rainbows" and its sequel, "...And The Miracles Continue"). I enjoyed both books very much. I can't imagine parenting that  many children: three is  more than enough for us! LOL

It takes a special kind of person to parent children with special needs; Paul and I probably could do it, but it would be a daunting task, particularly if a child got sick or injured somehow, and they would have to go to the hospital emergency room! After I read your books, I felt I had to write; the world certainly needs more compassionate, caring angels like yourself and your husband! :)

How long have Bill and you been married? Do you have any qualms about making the decision to adopt? Why did you choose to adopt children with special needs? In any event, I think all of it is wonderful!!

Well, Louisiana, I am going to go now; I am going to get the hot chocolate on so Paul can warm up, now that he has just finished shoveling our driveway. Take care, and God bless you! I hope to hear from you soon!
