Louisiana Sandusky in Tennessee receives a second letter from her new friend in Oklahoma, a woman who has adopted ten kids, all with special needs.

Dear Louisiana Sandusky in Tennessee~
Thanks for your lettter; it was very nice to hear from you again! I cannot imagine the chaos that must be a regular occurrance at your place; the noise level your children produce must be incredible!! How do you manage so many children without going crazy? That is what I'd like to know!
I don't have your books, but you are right: I would love to have a copy of "A Family Made Out of Miracles And Rainbows" and "...And The Miracles Continue", as well as the children's book you mentioned. Thanks for thinking of me; I will surely enjoy them! I will gladly pay you the cost of the books (including shipping and handling)!
How is the weather there in Tennessee? Here it is sunny and mild, temps in the sixties; very pretty for this time of year. We had some snow this winter; how about you? Bet it was cold up there in Nashville!
We are getting ready for severe weather season here in Oklahoma: the kids have already had their tornado drills for the year, and it looks like there will be more before severe weather gets in full gear. Thank God we have a storm shelter, but ever since that tornado hit Oklahoma City back on May 3, 1999, I have nightmares of an F-5 monster coming here! I don't know what I'd do if I or my family were faced with that kind of disaster!
Louisiana, I am glad th at you didn't have too many problems with your kids at school, but I just don't like how they do things in public school nowadays. They have taken prayer out, and if anyone even mentions God, they get into trouble while other religions get to pray. What is up with that?? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever! I also don't like the way that kids can get away with murder (seems that way at times, doesn't it??) or how they act, and the teachers do very little to curb the obnoxious behavior! This is why I don't send my kids to public school!
I also don't like the influences kids are exposed to nowadays, on tv, the Internet, or otherwise. I saw a lady at a store yesterday bring her little three-year-old son in, and he was wearing earrings, like a mini rapper! He also was acting up, and the mom hardly batted an eye to his behavior! It really irked me! I didn't say a word, but I sure wanted to give that mama a good talking-to!
How do you keep your kids from seeing bad things on the tv? Do you have a computer? If so, do you monitor your kids' computer time? I sure hope so for their sake! Today's generation of kids are disrespectful and in desperate need of disciplinary action! Yet if you try to discipline, you have the police after you! It is scary to be a parent nowadays!
It doesn't help seeing things that make me crazy, like those teenagers in Texas who were videotaping their small nephews while they were smoking pot. Crazy times we are living in, crazy, scary, uncertain times! I am glad the teens were arrested and the kids were removed; kids should not be exposed to that kind of thing, especially when they are little like that!
I will be back later: the baby just did a major poopie in his diapers, and he is starting to smell rather ripe. I also have to separate Nathan, Heidi, and Sanjaya before they end up killing one another: seems they are in the middle of a major fight; I am sure the neighbors can hear all the screaming that is currently going on! Take care, Louisiana, and do write again! I loved hearing from you!
~Love, your new friend in Tulsa, Hannah Grace Needham. :)
P.S.: I put a picture of cheetahs on this letter because I love cats, big and small! I'd also love to go to Africa one day; I have friends from Kenya, and they say they see cheetahs from time to time! I think they are so pretty!
My mother-in-law used to say that it was better in the old days when nobody has a TV, people used to sit and chat with each other face to face and you can feel the closeness within the family members. Now with the TV and the internet, people have changed. Nobody is close to anyone anymore.
