Dear Audrey~

Please forgive me for not writing; you know how that goes when one is a doctor! No time for anything, it seems! I hope you understand why I haven't written until now.

Guess what! I have some news: we are adopting a little boy from Africa! We are excited beyond belief; we just found out that the adoption was approved; he should be here within a few months, according to our adoption caseworker!

The little guy is named Mwugu. He is from Kenya, of the Masai tribe. He has spina bifida, too, just like me, so I will be a good mentor for him! (And he to me.) He can't walk; he is totally dependent on a wheelchair, but who cares??  He is a beautiful boy! (Does that sound okay? Mwungu Wright?? What a mouthful! LOL Let me know what you think!)

I am so sorry I missed your big day. I had to work oodles of hours, couldn't get the time off. Very frustrating. I am now taking a little time off, so to recuperate from all those extra hours. My back is killing me!

Thank God my kidneys are behaving, but they can act up anytime. That's why I drink gallons of water and eat the right things, so I don't have any more problems. I haven't had any bladder infections either, so I am thankful for that!

How is the weather there? Here it is raining cats and dogs; not fit for man OR beast! The kids are holed up in their rooms, screeching; think they are fixin' to get into a fight. I had better intervene--no, Sarah beat me to it; I can hear her reprimanding the girls! I am making chili for supper; can't wait to dig in; it smells so delicious!

Did you know that my friend Louie is adopting another kid? She just adopted four; she now has fifty-five kids, and now she is adding another one?? That woman is CRAZY! LOL There's adoption, and there's going overboard........LOL

I am happy that your kids are doing well; I am looking forward to getting to know them (and you) better. Ever since we first met I have grown to love you; hope you feel the same way about me.

Well, I am going to let you go. Supper's 'bout ready--and I am HONGRY! LOL (NOT a good thing to keep a man away from his chili! LOL)
