About the philosophy of encounters...
On the special request of his most faithful user, a computer drew a dibiogram, such is the technical term – the trace of two lifetimes.
In the beginning, René was blue, and Anita green. The colors were similar somehow, by chance.
Both lines began nearly on the same height – they were born in the same year.
The course of the two traces indicated how near to each other Anita and René had come during different times in their lives. Almost endlessly, the lines swung away from each other and towards each other again, without ever touching. On page 103, both of them were 27 – the two lines happen to near each other by a hair’s breadth (encounter in the train to Berne, talk about the next elections). No – no beginning of a friendship, no falling in love, on either side. The two would not have remembered each other after ten years.
Several more times their paths crossed, without them taking notice of one another.
One trace ended earlier.

I truly enjoyed this well written story of two lives and how close they came, yet not close enough through entire life times. Life is so strange...
