Katrina writes to Kendra Kent aftter Kendra has written her two letters.

Monday, March 19, 2007, nearly eight o'clock in the evening, DST~

Dear Kendra Mae~

Katrina here. Thank you for your letters; I hope you don't mind my cynicism (spelling? I always was horrible in school LOL), but I don't do the religion thing. I hope this doesn't offend you, but I try to stay away from religious people. All they do is try to drag me to church with them; I am not into church, never have been, never will.

I did, however, enjoy reading about your children. I can't imagine anyone having more than two; children give me the hives! LOL (Not really, but children do make me edgy! LOL)

I know this lady (I think you know her, too) who has adopted a total of one million children (NOT really, but she does have a whole passel of 'em!). She has kids of all ages, children of all sizes, children with all kinds of disabilities, and children who are healthy, as well as children of all colors, like a rainbow. You should see 'em when they go anywhere; they are met with stares or shocked looks! LOL I guess that is only natural when you see a family like the Sanduskys! LOL

Frank and myself are getting excited about our upcoming cruise to Alaska. We are getting mrried on board our ship, and after the cruise is over, we are going to move to Alaska. We already have a house; we just have to move in once we arrive! LOL I am getting nervous, though; what if people don't like me?

I am sorry you are having to go through so much shit in your life. The feeling is mutual. I have been through enough shit to last me the rest of my life! Hurricane Katrina done did me in, and it is because of Katrina that my life as I once knew it is now history. I have had to start over, and then I end up in a g.d. wheelchair; I still have days where I have pity parties, feel sorry for myself. I guess that is only natural.

I am sure you have those bad days, too.

Well, this isn't much, but I am not much of a letter writer. In truth, I hate writing letters; it shows how stupid I really am. *grins* Just call me a dumb ol' Cajun gal! LOL

Take care, and write to you again!

~Katrina ("Call me Kat"). :)

You have written this so well that Katrina's personality simply bursts off the page! She's a handful, isn't she?!

This is a wonderful write, thanks for sharing, I agree with Karla's comment as well, hopefully Kendra and Louie and Naomi can play a roll in her coming to the Lord, maybe even R.R for that matter.
God Bless
Michelle~

Kar should never say never re: church and "religious" people. Yes, mankind (read: church) has corrupted the true message, but that doesn't mean ALL churches are bad. Still and all, Karen, an excellent write from a bitter young woman...maybe her exposure to people like Louisiana Sandusky and Kendra Mae Williams will change her mind; perhaps, she'll see Jesus in their lives, and want Him in hers. One can only pray...

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
