Louie is elated: Johnny is doing much better, demanding pizza of all things! Yet at the same time, her heart is breaking for her friend's daughter, Rebekkah, who continues to experience bad times in her life.

Dear Journal~
I am a tangle of mixed emotions: my heart sings with joy, yet at the same time, it's breaking.
Johnny is doing so well, he is going home later today or tomorrow, according to Dr. Arjuwal. His vital sigas are as close to normal as you can get, and his appetite continues to improve: he gulped down three boxes of Enlive peach drink, and is demanding pizza--NOW. LOL He looks so much better than he did a few days ago when he had his seizure and lay in a coma!
It's hard to believe that twenty four hours ago he was comatose; now he is very much aware, and he is almost energetic! LOL The change in him is incredible; it's a miracle!
I wish I had better news concerning Rebekkah Cohen: she is still paralyzed, it doesn't look good, and now on top of everything else, she found out that a family friend of hers was raped. She was raped by the man who loved her (or so he claimed); Rebekkah is utterly devastated. I don't know what to do for her except try to be there for her or pray for her. She needs all the prayers she can get at this time!
I did tell Johnny some of what has happened to Rebekkah. Of course, he is a little sad, but that will pass (hopefully). The other kids know what has happened; they are sad, too. We all are. It's not fair that some people have all the joys of life while others (like Rebekkah, like us) seem to have tragedy upon tragedy.
What did we ever do to deserve all this heartache? Why are we being punished like this? As I just said, it is not fair!! Lord, give us a break!!
We can only handle so much!
Me thinks we need another cruise, just to get away from life's storms---
Well, this is short, but I have to get ready to go to work; was asked by the boss to work, as Michelle is sick with the flu. I guess I have no choice; damn nursing shortage---Grrrr!!

Perhaps A cruise would bein order for dear Louie. So much going on, but it's great to read about Johnny going home! Keep on writing!
This is an amazing write Karen, I look forward to reading more of Louie's thoughts and musings, I am praying for you and Karla, you guys should be expecting a letter in the mail in the next few days

Once again, anthor riveting and thought provoking work! He's oh so right to scream out "ENOUGH already!" Hopefully prayers and life's journey will bring him peace and joy. Amy S
Mrooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww...ENOUGH, already, is right! Poor Louisiana, worrying about sick children, family friends, work...and yet, her strength, resolve, and FAITH will bring her back. Excellent portrayal of mixed emotions, well done!
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
