Louisiana writes to her newest friend, Shilah Winslow, while waiting for her kids to get done with their Sunday School classes at church.

Dear Shilah Winslow~
Thanks for your letter; it was good to hear from you. I hope this finds you well and happy!
We are doing okay (most of us, that is; Johnny has been in the hospital for the past several days; he suffered a seizure, and he is due to be released in a few days). He has been given new drugs to counteract the seizure; I think it was brought on due to stress. We all have had a rough week; glad it is finally behind us!
Between working, visiting Johnny at the hospital, taking care of my village LOL, and writing letters (or working on my books), I don't have any free time; if you get a letter from me, consider it to be a miracle! LOL You will be lucky if you hear from me as soon as you write! LOL
It bugs me too when people run down our President or make jabs at our troops. We didn't ask to be in this war; we were attacked, so we felt it was our duty to respond and try to protect our nation from further attacks.
Yet we are the ones being charged with murder when the enemy is using their own people--men, women, even children and the handicapped--to do their dirty deeds, and they get away with murder--literally! It just isn't right! It really chaps my hide when people protest the war and they don't have a clue what is really going on.
I am not sure as to who to vote for when the elections come up next year, in fact, I see no saviour to help us out of our current state of affairs. We are in a world of hurt, and it doesn't help that our values, our very lives, our very belief in God, are being attacked in a vicious way. We Christians need to stand up, band together, pray hard, and say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! We need to stand strong in our faith and never give up the fight!
We are waiting for our sixtieth child; we are adopting a little boy, aged three, who is blind and deaf. He was born this way; otherwise, he is perfectly healthy--just a little wild, according to the adoption agency we are working with.
Hopefully, with love and guidance, he will settle down as soon as he gets used to us. We will just have to be patient with him. The little guy's name is Bjorn Wilhem, and he looks a lot like our son, Johnny, did when he was small; it's like looking at Johnny as a tot all over again! It's scary! LOL
Well, the kids are due to come out of their Sunday school classes any time, so I will shut this down. Take care, Shilah, and write when you can; I'll be waiting for your letter! God bless you mightily!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :D

A little late with my review here, but another good write. Keep up the great work!
Louisiana's faith and convictions are clearly stated in well written letter form; well done! Would that more felt like her, would be bold enough to speak out!
