Dear Audrey and Family~
This is your brother, Wayne, writing. I am sorry for not writing sooner, but I have been sick with another kidney infection, and I am now just getting over it. I hate those things; I am always scared I will wind back on the dialysis machine!
I also have been working lots of hours; seems like the hospital is my main home lately. Lots of patients to see, lots of unnecesssary worrying, lots of stress to be felt. Not good for my health or anyone else's.
How are your daughters doing? How is Susie doing? I sent her a get-well card; did she get it? I am praying like thunder that she gets out of the hospital soon; how you must miss her!
I am coming out there for Easter, so you will finally get to meet me face to face. I am looking forward to it, but at the same time, I am scared to death. What if the girls don't like me? What if you don't like me?? What if Rick, your new husband, don't like me? I'm an agreeable fellow, I don't mean any harm! If I end up disrupting your busy lives, I am indeed sorry.
I fell the other day: I was going down the ramp, and I tripped on my crutch. Down I went. I didn't hurt myself, but I did bruise myself all over, even my face. People look at me like "What happened to YOU??", and I have to go through the whole deal. I did go to the ER for X-rays; no broken bones, but definitely am bruised. I am feeling it strong. *OW* Stupid crutch. No, stupid ME. It was my fault.
Well, our new little boy from Kenya, Africa, is here. He is a cutie-pie. His name is Mwugu, and he is in a wheelchair, but he's a great kid. He's a bit on the shy side, but the girls have warmed up to him; they are fighting to take turns caring for him! LOL Sarah and I are going crazy! LOL Now we have three kids, and get this: Sarah may be pregnant: she has been getting sick in the mornings, but by the afternoon, she feels fine. If that isn't a sign of being pregnant, then I don't know what is. (I'm a guy!)
Things here are crazy at best. It is a good crazy, though; I don't mind it at all. I didn't think Mwugu would be here yet, but I guess the adoption agency was desperate, so he came earlier than planned. Everything is so new to him: he looks about, his eyes as wide as saucers, his little scrawny neck swiveling constantly. He looks absolutely adorable; I have already fallen in love with my new son!
Well, dear sister, I will see you in a few weeks. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family. Take care, and I will try to write sooner. Don't worry if I don't answer right off: I'm a doctor, for Pete's sake!!
God bless you all!
~Love, your brother, Wayne. :)
