     Ronee' writes about her appointment with the child psychiatrist, how her hospitalized brother is doing, her day at school, and other things.

Tuesday, March 27, 2006, 7:41 a.m., D.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~


Dear Journal~


I am sitting here in the main lobby at school, waiting for the bell to ring. Class starts then; I have homeroom first, then it's off to French.


The appointment didn't go as bad as I had expected. I was afraid Arlene (that's the psychiatritst) would think I was crazy. She said I am normal, that all kids go through these conflicting feelings from time to time. She made it easy for me to talk; I felt like I was talking with a friend, not a doctor. She was very nice, and made me laugh a time or two.


I see Arlene again next week, on Tuesday, at 4 in the afternoon. I see her at the mental health clinic which is by the hospital where maman works.


Well, Johnny comes home tomorrow from the hospital. I have gone and seen him several times; he is looking a lot better. He gave me a bad scare when he had his seizure; I thought for sure he was gonna' die on us. I never want to see that again! It scared the poo poo outta' me!


School has been going well, have had tons of homework. I don't have any problems with that, but at times I'd rather be outside playing with my friends than chained to a book! I don't get teased anymore, which is a nice change of pace. School is suddenly easierr, and I really enjoy it now, now that the kids no longer pick on me.


I think they think back to the time when I used to whack 'em with my sticks; guess the memory (or the pain) is still fresh in their minds. LOL I used to get into so much trouble for doing that, but hey: I had to defend myself somehow! LOL


We are getting ready to add Bjorn to the family; he is as cute as a button. He is blind and deaf; he is a little wild, according to our adoption specialist. He will hopefully settle down once he gets used to us; I hope so. I dread his coming because I think he'll drive us crazy with his wild ways! I am looking forward to his coming to the family; at the same time, however, I am as nervous as a newborn kitten!


I am staying away from the bees; so far, the bees are staying away from me. LOL I hope this continues; don't need any trouble from those little stingers! LOL


Whoops! Gotta' go; bell's fixin' to go *RIIIIIIIIIIIIING*, to start a new day. Will catch ya on the flipside later! Byyyyyyyyyye!

I'm glad Ronee is doing better. Perhaps going to talk to someone outside the family is just what she needed! Great write! I love the use of the Journal!!
